Procus Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/2020-nfl-draft-grades-eagles-prince-tega-wanogho-auburn Quote 2020 NFL Draft grades: Eagles get potential steal with Prince Tega Wanogho By Andrew Kulp April 25, 2020 5:52 PM The value the Eagles are getting with Prince Tega Wanogho Eagles at the end of the sixth-round of the draft is huge -- and not just because they moved down 20 spots and picked up Marquise Goodwin from the 49ers as part of the process, either. Some draft experts gave Wanogho as high as a third-round grade. However, when he arrived at the Senior Bowl in January, he wasn't allowed to participate after a physical revealed fluid inside of his knee. Wanogho apparently played through the injury last season, and it's not believed to be serious based on a scope performed after the Senior Bowl. But the words "medical red flag" seem to have been seared into the minds of GMs, allowing a talented left tackle prospect to drop all the way to No. 210. If he is in fact healthy, Wanogho very well could be the steal of the draft for the Eagles. Standing 6-foot-5, 308 pounds, Wanogho started 32 games in college. Prior to committing to Auburn though, the Nigeria native was a high school basketball player, possessing impressive athletic ability for his size. It's difficult to quantify Wanogho's physical traits as he was unable to participate at the combine. But again, the belief is interest would've been higher were it not for the discovery about his knee. There's absolutely nothing wrong with taking a flyer on an injury at this stage of the draft, as this is the crap shoot stage. And in the case of Wanogho, his ceiling is that of a starting left tackle in the NFL, something the Eagles may well wind up needing. Andre Dillard is set to take over for Jason Peters, and if his ups and downs as a rookie don't concern you, rumors the Eagles dangled the former first-round pick in trades might. His future in Philadelphia is unknown, whether he pans out or not. Uncertainty over Wanogho's knee means it might be a stretch to call him Dillard insurance. That being said, if healthy, it isn't difficult to imagine a scenario where this Prince becomes the true heir to Peters' throne should Dillard struggle to cement the job. Grade: A
Uscg-green Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Ok the A grade is just for this pick right? You don't get an A when you completely waste your second round pick.

I was joking about it, cause it’s like every thread that has "draft” in the title is a guaranteed Uscg post. It’s all good man. At the end of the day in a 10 man draft some picks people will love, some people will hate, but in reality they’re all crapshoots. I love Reagor but he could certainly be a bust, as could Ruggs or Burrow or any of them. There’s no guarantees for any of these guys. I don’t love the Hurts pick but I will support him, he’s an Eagle now. And even with the two picks I’m not in love with (Bradley being the other) I’m not gonna let it overshadow the rest of the class. We’re all fans at the end of the day, and any of our hot takes don’t mean ish...whether positive, negative or indifferent it all comes from a love of this team and the city. 1

UK_EaglesFan89 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Imagine if both Goodwin and Wanogho make the roster and contribute. All for the price of moving down 20 spots in the sixth round. That wouldn't be a bad turn out would it! 1

You don't get an A when you completely waste your second round pick. It seems to me that people either really like the Eagles' draft (I've seen a few give it an A or A-) or they are bewildered and give it from C to D-. There is no scenario where I would have used #53 on Hurts. That being said, it doesn't make it a "wasted pick." If Hurts helps us win games as an Eagle, the pick won't be wasted. We may not be fond of the decision now, but we'll have to wait and see how this one plays out. Lots of fans disagreed with the Sanders pick last year. Even after the first quarter of the season, people had given up on him because he fumbled twice in one game. People also disagreed with the JJAW pick and up to this point, their concerns are still valid. If the plan is really to keep Hurts (not just showcase him for a future trade to a QB needy team), I can picture the Eagles using him to run a ball control offense to milk the clock in 4th quarter games where we have a sizable lead. That could keep Wentz off the field when he isn't needed. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm not a big fan of gimmick plays, though, where you take a franchise QB out for 1 play here and there, but that's just me. 1
EricAllenPick6 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 So... is he actually like a Nigerian prince? Maybe this dude is the guy that keeps on sending me e-mails about having $150 million he needs to give me? On 4/26/2020 at 8:50 PM, Uscg-green said: Ok the A grade is just for this pick right? In a few years, if Raegar is a stud, Wallace and Wanogho are starters will you still think this draft was a failure? 1

Him, and somebody else who has nothing better to do than obsess with non-stop complaining about the 2nd round pick. Got better things to do than engage with negativity about the Eagles while under a semi-lockdown at home.
Lemonphosphate Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 I thought Prince Tega was a good pick that late in the draft and I view him as a swing tackle type. I like his athleticism in pass pro but I thought he was a better athlete then player at this point. His run blocking needs a lot of work. An inconsistent player and not nearly as good as his team mate Jack Driscoll (who is only a commoner). I view Driscoll as a future starter who just needs to get stronger so he can stop leaning into blocks. Please Eagles fast track Driscoll into a gym, build him a private gym if necessary.

I think both could end up being good contributors on this OL. I think Driscoll ends up playing inside and Prince Tega could be a good swing tackle for us. Both have good traits and I trust Stoutland to develop both.
