I edited this cuz I couldn't trust my memory of what my dad her brother told me , he was a few years older than she was....I remember him saying it was very shortly after she died that a vaccine came out. Sorry for your father's loss 😞

If it's the number of people who quit a job in protest of something an employer has every right to mandate? Yeah it's not very significant. Non-zero, and for those 65 people it's significant. But compared to the rhetoric? Probably less than the anti-mandate crowd was hoping for and expected. It's significant in that it shows at least for this population that when push comes to shove the job is more important than a political statement for nearly every employee. If it's a number that represents the percentage of people who die from a very contagious virus? Yeah it's very a significant number. For reference, about 0.5% of those who contracted polio developed permanent paralysis. Polio is not spread nearly as easily (particularly in public spaces) as Covid, and when you contracted polio your chances of survival were pretty good (most cases were asymptomatic). Yet we mobilized the hell out of vaccines that were criticized as "rushed" by some, and within a generation had all but eliminated it. Within two generations we had achieved herd immunity through broad vaccination efforts with improved vaccines. I know this answer is longer than a tweet. But most things in life are not as simple as they apparently need to be for some.

September 23, 20214 yr Update, the one person who works for me who was refusing, decided to get the shot and save their job. Add another one to the vaxxed group.
September 23, 20214 yr An NP at my wife's practice refused the shot and was fired. Won't be able to work as a healthcare provider anywhere in the state and won't be able to collect unemployment. 🤷♂️
