You ain't gettin a 3rd for Dillard. Dude just sucks. He gets trucked by no name rookies vs the Jets in those practices. Dude is like a matador- run right through him.

I mean a tie against the Jets? Really not good and for all the hope we have for this defense they are shipping a lot of points. Yes it is preseason and yes it is the back ups but shows the drop in talent.

I’d be the same as you in that I feel we have good starters but bar a few our second string isn’t that good so depth will be an issue if our starters go down and given previous experience it’s almost a certainty. Also a tie in preseason ? Preseason to me is you either lose big or win big. Well we have over two weeks until the first game that matters so hopefully they are ready.

A lot of individual efforts. Good Game to watch.  Same defensive back concerns as before the game, and same optimistic feeling about our offense. Final Score is completely meaningless.

The thing I take from Mullens performance in an Eagles jersey is the 49ers QB coach is a f'ing genius to get the performances he did out of this bum, he's godawful, I mean he wasn't great against us last year but he was a boatload better than the lackluster half assed nonsense he's churned out this preseason.

We should either just carry 2 QB's into the season and sign someone like Peyton Ramsey to the PS. or offer Alex Smith or RG3 another years salary.

Let’s just hope none of our starters get hurt

I did not watch the game yet, but I believe the Eagles did not play any starters and went with the second string as starters for this game.  Given that we outscored the Jets 21-10 in the first half, it would seem our second string did quite well (at least to the extent you can make any conclusions from one half of a preseason game against a weak opponent).  It is the backups to the backups that played in the second half that failed to get the job done, getting outscored 21-10 ... but for the most part those are third-stringers that will not make the team.

Back ups are not as good as the starters, good analysis guys.

I definitely think the way to go is with only Hurts and Flacco on the final 53 and add a young developmental prospect that is released during final cut downs to the practice squad.  

Mullens has been released and Gardner Minshew traded with Jax for a 6th round pick. Flacco will only be here one year then Minshew moves up to #2.

I wish they would have pursued Minshew prior to signing Flacco, but I really like this move as we got some serious swagger in the QB factory now.
