WTF? Do you wanna give this one another shot, but this time in English? Or is this another calendar / math thing with you guys?

Wait, you think covid killed less than 2M people in 2021? Is that what you're saying here?

Setting aside that the original context of the discussion was our handling of it domestically when he referred to the impact of lockdowns, is your next step going to question the validity of reported death counts to the WHO? They died with covid, not from covid, amirite trumpbot?

Maybe you should look at what you wrote "In over a century", did you not?  To try to qualify your statement.  The WHO lists the total historical deaths at 6.9 million.  2 million in 2020, 3 million in 2021.  Spanish fly which lies just outside the 100 year period you were trying to limit it to killed 50 million in a two year period.  Just stop with your twisting of what you "meant" versus what you wrote.  But to say that COVID is some super virus is not true given the inconsistent data and the fact that it is nearly 10 times less lethal historically than Spanish flu and less than a sexually transmitted disease historically.

And then the demonstrated liar decides to throw in "trumpbot".  Go ahead and lie some more, wgb.  It is your superpower.

Do you speak English?

Is 104 years over a century? Yes or no?

Did covid kill more people in 2021 than HIV did in 2004? Yes or no?

You wrote "in over a century" which means in more than 100 years.  And you accuse me of not knowing basic English.  Wow!

Once again, wgb tries the "that's not what I meant" argument.  Now you will outright lie or conveniently start moving the goal posts.

And you might want be careful with your 2021 argument.  It is not going to prove what you want it to.

Yes, 104 years ago is "over 100 years"

Spanish flu killed more over 100 years ago.

This is basic English.

You're trying to argue that Covid was "not that deadly" ... it took massive lockdowns early in Covid to keep those deaths limited. The deadliest period was the first few months when we weren't totally sure how to deal with it.

That we better handled Covid compared to the Spanish Flu "over 100 years ago" speaks to how our response mitigated spread and early deaths until we had some ideas of how to prevent and treat infection.

this is an awesome debate.

Let's try again... is 104 years more or less than 100 years?

With the best medical minds focused on advanced treatments, Lombardy’s capacity to provide basic medical care and safeguard public health gradually deteriorated.

"covid wasn't that deadly..." -2023, already forgetting what early Covid was like.

It’s like imagining if WW3 broke out, but one side could only use weapons, technology and intelligence from the First World War era.

Then actually having someone argue with you that it would be competitive.

Dude, it's not too late. Just tell me you were high last night when your made that post. Blame it on something else, you can't literally be this stupid, can you?

I meant exactly what I said. What goalposts am I moving, BBE? Please be specific so we can determine exactly how much you have failed to grasp the English language.

What you meant to say was "in/within the past century".  "In over a century" means more than 100 years.  But you couldn't have Spanish in your argument so you selectively wanted to pick 100 years.

Now go ahead and tell me that I am supposed to know what you meant.

"pfft, Covid only looks bad because Spanish flu was over 100 years ago"

why don't we include the black plague too? I mean, Covid was basically just a bad cold!

And johnSnow with the pictures.   Because when you don't understand what you read you have to make an appeal to emotions.

You are such a useful idiot.  Did he not say "any other virus".  Maybe take your own advice.

You’re a moron.  Go get your tinfoil hat and STFU.

Now ad absurdum. How many logical fallacies can John Snow use today?

Learning disability? ESL? Substance abuse? Please tell me it's one of these three before I proceed mocking you relentlessly for this bout of idiocy. I'd rather not lay into you so hard if there's something I should know about that you're not telling us.
