Looking to buy a new daily beater and one of the top choices on the list is the Cadillac CT4 or CT5 V series. The biggest issue is deciding the color, Black or Shadow Metallic(Grey). Either color will have Satin Graphite Wheels with Red Brembos and a Black/Grey Interior. So which color would you choose?

Doesn't matter to me.

With wheels that color the black.

id rather have grey with black wheels.

I believe all polls are required to have a STFU Bobeph option....

Nice flex .... Buying a Cadillac as a beater... 🙄. That being said neither

black

My X3 M40i has this kind of matte grey they use on the grill and side mirrors that I like, and the wheels are fine too, but the new 2022’s offer a blacked out package as well as selectable black wheels that caught my attention. But I owe less than $18k on it and am around 16,400mi so there’s pretty much no reason for me to switch.

And if I did I’d potentially even go with white

white one looks like a ps5

I'd probably go for the black exterior as it just looks so menacing. But I myself do have a grey 4 series.

BMW looks fine with White, However: White or any light color on a Cadillac V series just looks horrid. Im not a big guy on red cars either so that breaks it down to only the two colors above.

i don't now how to describe the gray I see a lot of manufacturers offer other than its sort of like a matte color and reminds me of those traditional gunmetal james bond aston martins. I like that color gray. I will have to kill some time on the cadillac website now that I'm at a computer to check out options

shadow metallic looks blueish to me on website, i vote black

It's a GM......it's a beater by definition since they make such garbage anymore.......get any color ya want as it will spend most of its time at the dealer looking good on the lift.

Im a Chevy guy all they way but, Cadillacs have become complete crap. I swear everytime i go for an oil change there is at least one old person screaming at customer service about their Cadillac lol. My grandfather loved them he has had at least over 20 of them in his life time. Even he stopped buying them after a while. I actually used to be a Ford guy but, everyone I had was horrible. My dad is still Ford and has had a lot of great trucks over the years with them

Is Toyota/Lexus the only name that seems to have unconditional love among their owners?

I was too.... Chevy,Pontiac,and Caddy.

Montes, Grand Prix,and Eldorados

Last decent Gm I had was my 92 half ton...... and truly the only reason it was any good was the jasper engine the 1st owner had to put in at 50k.... I got it at 60k in 96 and drove it into the ground at around 170k over many years...... heck I never even had to replace the clutch

My brother was a gm mechanic for a few years and the horror stories he had turned me off for good.

Had a few Fords... bought a new Mustang in 2014...... drove it for 4 years..... traded it in at 90k..... never had an issue.... however my wife's new 2017 Fusion was a joke of a car from day one. So then we went euro.

On the euro side..... eff BMW and Audi....... over priced pompous crap...... bought a new 330 and hated it.... bought the wife an a5 and she hated that reskinned Volkswagen.

Now we both have Jeeps.

Ugh jeeps are routinely on the least reliable cars list too unless you buy their 60,000 dollar limited and Rubicon crap . I hate keeps with a passion. Lol

My sister bought Honda CR-V rated best in it's class bought it with every damn bell and whistle it has. She had it a year and calls me like a year later and asked if I know any mechanics that work on newer cars that isn't a dealership. I said no I don't have any problems with my American car that you said was garbage lol.

I had a 2016 Fusion hybrid and absolutely loved it (gave it to my mom a year ago at around 80k miles), but had a few randomly as rental cars that were newer and really felt like the downgrades and engineered out a lot of thing I enjoyed with mine.

When I decided to go "luxury" the jump in price to stay in a sedan just seemed a bit wasteful, so I started looking at SUVs after 2-3 test drives. Then I decided I wanted something that had some solid "umph" and a bit of a rarity factory (aka, never going to see them on the road every day I'm out driving or find 35 sitting in used inventory for sale) so I went with the 6cyl M-performance model, and I believe that specific engine has gotten a sheet ton of praise and accolades so my expectation is that if I do choose to keep it long term, it should have greater reliability than most luxury vehicles that have been shipping out the past 5-10 years or so.

I have a first year 2006 Jeep SRT8 and it never had a issue ever. Still drive it today cause its so fun to drive. It’s not my everyday driver but I still put 108k miles on it since Ive had it and runs like a beast. It’s all bout two things. How your take care of it and luck. Now yes it was pricey but as the saying goes "You get what you pay for”

Completely agree, I've always take care of my cars maintenance and don't beat the piss out of it.

When I started driving Ford's I was 16 so naturally I'm gonna race around beat the hell out of it but, still when I was able to buy newer ones I had issues with everyone of them so that was probably the luck part lol.
