Funny: veteran O linemen rusty, penalties.

2nd year QB and rookie WR prepared, best players on the field.

D is looking better in defending the ground game.  Super ugly start in that regard, but still came away with just 6 given up.  I’ll take it.

I'm not complaining, I'll take the TD.

So far so good pham! D needs to lock in a bit better. Bend don't break I guess.

Hurts has been very very impressive, not perfect but man, for a young QB in his first real year starting, Amazing.

Certainly can’t complain about Hurts right now. He’s been great today. He might have left a few plays out there for sure, but I don’t expect him to be perfect. He’s doing great so far.

Look at Hurtz carefully. He is LEADING this offense, he is in control, he is making plays with his ARM and legs. His mechanics and footwork look WAY better. We may have the QB we wanted, after all.

Time to dunk some balls over the middle in the 2nd half.

Halftime recap:

Eagles d for the first time in awhile cannot stop the run. Eric Wilson missed numerous tackles. Fletcher Cox showing a bit of age.

Hurts definitely showing the work he put in during the offseason. Looks calm and composed.

Devonta Smith is legit.

Sirianni play calling light years ahead of doug.

Penaltys are out of control.

Falcons definitely lack talent, there offense is just a mirage of what it was when Julio was there.

Go Birds!

Hurts and Smith looking very poised so far.

How are we (the EMB server) holding up, so far?

A dude downstairs is smoking a joint every time the seahawks score. I'm not sure he will make it to the end of that game.

Everyone talking about Hurts and Smith, and rightfully so, but I’ve been impressed with Sirriana’s first half as a head coach as well. Haven’t seen a playcall that I thought was just boneheaded. I like what he’s got them doing.

Good observation.

Brian Johnson is a coaching hire not being talked about nearly enough.

Bruh it’s cool man. Hurts looking good, Smith looking good, and the defense despite everything has only given up six. Just be happy. 😂

I am! I'm not the one ****ing about every damn play. Not one person expected this after 1 half. I'm thrilled with this for a first game with a new coach new QB and new coordinators everywhere. In a years we are supposed to be bad everyone should be thrilled.

He’s looking poised and mostly making good decisions. So far very good.

Pretty good. Only saw lag a couple of times, and even that wasn't for too long.

Second half run the fing ball with sanders. This line is a smash mouth line not a finesse line. Yes they are up but good teams will crush this finesse scheme.

That 2 minute drive was the best drive we have had in 3 years.

Guys, he has played fantastic today, but relax on the "well, he's our future at QB!"

It's been one half against a bad team. He needs to continue to play well the rest of the game/season.

Off to a hell of a start though.

WTF Fitzpatrick hurt

People are telling you what they saw. Guys were missing tackles, but they held when they had to.

You gameplan to defeat the opponent. What they are doing is working, so why go away from it?

Fitzmagic is out for Washington, hip injury.

I liked Wentz, and we will have to go a full season to see how Hurts behaves.

But 1 thing should be pointed out. When Wentz was under center and a TD was called back (like the Gainwell TD), Wentz had a certain body language. You could always see his frustration. You could see when Wentz felt defeated. The facial expressions, the slow dopey trot. That stuff had to infect the huddle. I'm sure that is what a lot of the players are pointing out re: Hurts. Zero expression, poker face. No panic.

I know it's early, but even the critics have to admit... The kid looks cool if nothing else.
