Carson was sacked 4 times and hit 15 times

If you look at the Colts board, it looks like the EMB last couple of years.  "Carson was good, but our line needs to be better”.

At some point you gotta point fingers at Carson.  His athleticism to escape as a rookie was legendary.  Knee injuries took it away from him.

That was a good solid start, both lines were solid, Hurts was good, Smith looks as good as advertised, Gainwell and Sanders look like a good one two at tailback and everyone took care of the ball.

There are almost certainly better teams than the Falcons down the road, but that was as solid an Eagles performance as I've seen since probably 2018 and they're a ton more fun to watch than last year.

You don't need to be a super athlete to avoid sacks . He just sucks and has no instincts in the Pocket

I told you I don't give a eff about the pick anymore.either. it's either they are good enough for playoffs and it's a late 1st or they suck deeks and it's a top 5 2nd round pick. It's not worth paying attention to hat jack ass for either of those picks

Sorry bro, but I want that first. 😂

Plus holding the ball too long. Some of these sacks are on him.

One bad season won’t equate to a firing. The Colts aren’t the Eagles.

Anyone have a snap count

He f ing held the ball too long- period. That's why all the sacks, mostly.

Great Victory!!

Hurts played an excellent game. Very promising for his upward trajectory. He can build off this.
Smith and Reagor both played great games. Also promising for things to come. It was great to see the WRs involved in the offense.
TE's. Glad we didn't trade Ertz. Goedert with a big time TD catch.
RB's Sanders and Gainwell can be a dominant duo.
Defense: Adjustments in the second half and the sacks started to pile up. Big stop on the first drive to limit them to a field goal.
Special teams. How about that punter?

Aaron Rodgers looking kinda sorry today.

I think that stop on the opening drive of the game was huge for the defense. Limiting them to only 3 points. Atlanta really was moving and the D stepped up. From there they got into a groove. Huge game from the Line in the 2nd half taking over.

Is also really refreshing to have a healthy offensive line. Kudos to those guys.

There was some sloppy stuff, but I really was impressed today. The Eagles showed their speed and how disruptive that front can be.

... and as much as everyone was worried about Hurts (based on 2020), I felt like he only had 2 bad plays today --- The 4th down should have been a catchable pass anywhere (it's already a turnover on downs), don't throw it away. The other was just one where he jumped and tried to make a pass with both feet off the ground (don't try to be a super hero).

Overall, his passes were on target or catchable. His completion percentage was great (especially considering he clocked it once and threw a couple away). Great week 1 for him! I was especially impressed with how he targeted the WRs more than the TEs and RBs. We have some good talent with Smith, Reagor, and Watkins and this was a great start to get them all going. No really huge plays yet, but if we can feed the ball to them like this, they will make some huge plays. Also, we got Gainwell involved already.

The refs were pretty accurate on the calls in the trenches today. We can definitely get that stuff cleaned up. The emphasis on defensive holding was a surprise, but they called it both ways.

I'm looking forward to seeing this team get better.

And a QB who doesn't hold the ball too long.

I’m pretty much in agreement here though I would have liked to see them take a shot, but they simply took what the defense gave them today. No need to try and throw it into bad coverages. It was a smart efficient game, but they really need to clean up those penalties.

Two picks, and they just turned the ball over at their own 20. Seems like everyone goes for it on 4th down now.

Hurts was hit once today apparently. Same offensive line. Wentz got sacked like six times week one last season. 🤷‍♂️

Winston has the ball at the 20 and he already has 3 touchdowns.

I'm gonna call you out on this one. It's not the same line we had 3 starters out by week 1 last year and Lane was on a bum ankle. That's not an excuse that is just a fact that line was a train wreck all year.

Not even close, lol.

Okay the long might have been different, but the line wasn’t the train wreck it was when Brown was out there playing.
