September 11, 20214 yr Hard to believe it has been 20 years. I was traveling for work, got stuck in Dallas for the week. Note: 9/11 truther psychos stay out of the thread.
September 11, 20214 yr wErd. I was getting out of the shower and Mrs. Bo said, "Some idiot just flew his plane into the WTC.” Then we sat and watched the sheet unfold on TV. Little Bo was 2 months old. Mrs Bo found out later that day that a dude she was friends with in HS perished in the North tower. Sad, sad day. Can’t ever forget what those terrorists did to us. Stay vigilant.

September 11, 20214 yr Author A few things I will never forget is what a beautiful morning it was on the east coast. Perfect. Normal life for so many And then choas. Was it an accident? Then when the 2nd plane crashed into the south tower, oh no, everyone watching from afar knew this was on purpose. It still hurts my heart for all those that were lost in New York, the Pentagon, and the heroes of United 93. We love you and miss you and we will never forget !
September 11, 20214 yr I was at work when a co-worker told me two planes crashed into the WTC. Like many, I initially thought accident, but two seemed odd. I had no access to TV coverage until I got home from work so I didn’t grasp the full scale for awhile. At one point, we did turn on the Howard Stern show since he broadcasted from NY. We turned off on in time to hear about the 2nd tower collapsing.
September 11, 20214 yr I was at work and we heard about it on a radio. When I heard a plane crashed into the trade center I was thinking a small plane.
September 11, 20214 yr Driving into the office - a friend of mine called and told me to turn on the radio. When I got into the office, I remember the Internet was spotty, but we managed somehow to get updates. And then the Towers pancaked. Our office was in a downtown office tower in Miami and we evacuated shortly afterward. Nobody knew what was next. Security was tightened for a few months afterward.

Same here a guy at work pulled out a small tv and said a plane crashed into the world trade center and I thought it was a small plane and an accident... Then the second plane hit... So crazy... RIP to all who were lost
September 11, 20214 yr My thoughts are with all of those who were affected 20 years ago by the events that played out. My thoughts are with all Americans on this sad day. I still shudder when I see documentaries about how the day panned out.
September 11, 20214 yr We were on vacation in a big house on the beach in Corolla Outer Banks with my brother's family and three other families. Spent the next couple of days spending 50% of it in front of the tv and not on the beach where we should have been. I had a good family friend and a fraternity brother pass in the towers.
September 11, 20214 yr While none of us will forget 9/11.....we certainly forgot how the nation pulled together, we certainly forgot that being americans was something special, we certainly forgot how great this nation truly is, we allowed ourselves to be divided by identity politics pushed by scumbag politicians. We forgot about the sacrifices of our armed forces made over the last 20 years to eliminate the terrorists, despite fighting with their arms behind their back. We forgot how great this country is, the freedoms we enjoy......we only want to focus on the problems this country has by blaming each other, creating mountains out of molehills, and pushing the divide to the point of no compromise and probably no return. 9/11 was a horrible day.......so many people died together.....the passengers, the people in the WTC, the firemen, the police, the first responders......didn't matter what political party they were, their race, religion, economic status......but it seems that's all that matters now. Effectively pushed by the politicians and the media.....and we allowed it to happen. I won't ever forget that day.......but I'll always regret what that event did to this country....

My wife had one on last night about united 93 and I had to leave the room.
September 11, 20214 yr The memorial they made looks pretty cool online. One of these days I'm going to go visit it
September 11, 20214 yr I arrived at work to see my co-workers around a tv. I learned that a plane hit Tower one. I then watched to see the second plane strike Tower 2. My immediate reaction was that it was a terrorist attack. An intentional act. After the towers fell, the office finally decided to close. So did all of center city. Thousands of people were outside. Trains were suspended. Cab drivers would not drive out of the city. I had to walk 6 miles out of the city on the Kelly Drive, to get to my car at the train station. It's hard to believe 20 years have passed since that day. One I will never forget.
September 11, 20214 yr We went to NYC the next spring. We walked in the rain to the edge of the pit where they were still excavating. It was intense. on the day of 9-11, I was working out in King of Prussia and was on the phone with a client in NYC when the first plane hit, he went up to the roof and saw the second plane hit. The call was disconnected and for three days I became more and more convinced he was dead. He was not, but lived there and cell service was overloaded for a week or more. Driving home on empty roads was surreal. The world had changed radically. We're still reeling.
September 11, 20214 yr I remember being non high school and in the TV production class. We watched tv the entire class, watching what was happening. I remember wearing an ESPN Zone shirt from NY. It had flames coming out of the top of the words ESPN Zone. After that day, I refused to wear that shirt. There were rumors that a kid got kicked out of a class by a teacher since he cheered when the second plane hit. I never learned if it was true or not though. At night, I worked at a toy store and I remembering how crazy it was that people were actually coming in to shop. It just felt wrong.

September 11, 20214 yr I was driving across the country with my brother. We left on the 10th and had been driving all night. Heard the whole thing on the radio while driving through Oklahoma. It seemed like a War of the Worlds broadcast.

It's like a darkness over comes you as you walk through and to know people are still buried in that foundation is horrific.
September 11, 20214 yr I lived and worked in Ireland at the time and someone came into my office and told me that a plane had crashed into the one of the twin towers. I remember chuckling...picturing a small plane bouncing off the tower. Minutes later the guy came back and told me about the second plane. An hour later that I found out that a friend and colleague was on the second plane. He was taking his girlfriend to Hawaii to propose to her.
September 11, 20214 yr There's a documentary that basically tracks the whole cay through phone calls. I can't remember what it's called, but I'd really like to find it. If anyone knows, let me know.
