Let's just remember... Coming in to this year most fans thought we were going to be pretty bad. To be giving the beloved Niners such a game to me is encouraging no matter if we win or lose.

Yeah, I hear you, but we should be up by at least 10 points

Leaving points on the field and giving up 7 to close out the half is not very inspiring

Feels frustrating to basically dominate a game, but come out losing right now. Friggin Reagor allows himself to be pushed out of bounds. The Eagles left a lot of points out there.

Only 3 points!? The play calling and execution on offense was dog crap! No excuses

You forgetting the 49er's have an elite D, too.

Try telling that to the people on here who think we should score on every play and never lose a game.

The problem is they have been dominating the whole half and go into halftime losing.

Maybe it's just my mindset for this year. I don't have any expectations and I'm just going to enjoy watching football. Of course I'm disappointed that we are behind and I'll be gutted if we lose but I'm looking at the positives from these games.

Relax, the game is at the half- it's not over until we win.

The 9ers played like garbage to be honest, the second they turned it on on O, we were toast. Remains to be seen if we are not a pretty bad team.

The HC is not giving me a lot of confidence right now.

Should have ran with Gainwell or Scott.  We have seen from Scott and Sproles that those smaller RBs can find some lains on short yardage.

Boston Scott even on this team anymore?

No doubt! The missed FG, the 4/5 plays within the 10 yard line. Those are big big plays. And of course the TD that was then brought back. But there's opportunities for this team to get this back.

My number one pet peeve with coaches is when they allow the same play over and over again to be successful. After the 2nd screen pass you have to download that an adapt. The Niners were out of ideas and you allow 4 chunk plays coming off basic screens like its an Andy Reid team.

Yes it was bad by the defense and before that the offense. But that doesn't mean we are screwed. It means we need to make some adjustments and we need to finish drives. That's what it means. We are down by 4.

No you let a good team stick around to the point where they uabe the lead when you should have been getting points then you are screwed.

Same thing that happened with the Eagles-Saints playoff game in 2013.

Pissing away a great half by the defense by scoring only 3 points especially when the Eagles have been moving the ball.

Get that D some pickle juice at halftime so they can dominate in the fourth quarter.

I’m looking at this season the exact same way. I found that it makes watching much more pleasurable.

Need to use quez and smith more, but let’s just keep running it

So... pass the ball and run the ball? Hmmm makes sense I guess. 🤣

Hurts needs to run more. Where is Ertz and Goedert?

I'd suggest through a game and a half of football we are not a bad team. Are we a good team? Maybe not. But we knew that coming in to the year.

I'm not forgetting anything.  The situations the Eagles where in, they should have more than 3 points.

Relax. We dominated a half of football against a top 5 team that many thought could be in the super bowl this year.

let’s see how they adjust and finish drives.

As soon as Quez was tackled a few yards short of the endzone, I knew we were in trouble.

One of those games.

Your comment was that may be the game. That may be the game down by 4 at the half?

smfh, looking back IF we lose those two drives may be a difference-maker. that's what i mean and it's a fair comment. and it's unbelievable that i even have to further explain it. y'all brits are too much lol

Blocking

Holding SF to 7 points while leaving at least 13 points on the field isn't all bad.

7-3 isn't an insurmountable deficit.

Short yardage is an issue for the offense. They can’t convert, the O-Line is getting no push, and the backs seem too small to break tackles. Short yardage plays are killing them right now.

Yeah I'm not expecting many wins this year.  Maybe 7 tops.

100%. And we should enjoy it whilst it lasts. We are in a unique situation I think. We know our team isn't complete trash, because that can't be fun to watch for a fan. We know our team isn't ready to contend. So we can look for the positives and look to the future.

A lot of that is Kelce, we love him in the pull but in short yardage he gets overpowered.
