Brady dealing with hand injury as Eagles game looms

After throwing for 400+ yards and 5 touchdowns on Sunday afternoon in a win, Tom Brady showed up to his press conference in Tampa with his right hand wrapped.

He’ll play the Eagles in the Linc in just a few days.

The fact that Brady was freely talking about his injured hand probably indicates this injury isn’t too serious. But it is his throwing hand and this will be a short week for the Eagles and the Bucs before Thursday Night Football.

So it’ll at least be something to monitor.

Brady, 44, has played the Eagles a total of seven times (including playoffs) in his NFL career and has a record of 5-2 against the Birds. Of course one of those losses was Super Bowl LII.

In his five regular season games against the Eagles, Brady is 4-1 with 10 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

In 2019, the Patriots came to Philly and beat the Eagles 17-10. But this will be Brady’s first matchup against the Eagles as a Buccaneer.

On Sunday, the Bucs beat the Dolphins 45-17 to improve to 4-1 on the season. Brady had a big game completing 30 of 41 passes for 411 yards, 5 touchdowns and a passer rating of 144.4.

Every time I see Brady, I am reminded of 41-33 and I feel fine. Whatever happens on Thursday, I just want to see some of the young guys progress.

Yes - sort of my view of the whole season.
