You can say what you want about the tenets of national socialism, but at least it's an ethos!

police lying again?   You don’t say…

The false part is "filmed it for their own gratification instead of calling the police"

No one broke it up for the amount of time that was originally discussed and she was raped in front of people who did nothing.

They’re trying to get witnesses to come forward because they won’t out of fear of being charged with a crime because they are poosays.

The District Attorney’s office reviewed footage and said police were lying.  Stop falling for b.s.

They said

"People get off and on at every single stop," Stollsteimer said. "That doesn't mean when they get on and they see people interacting that they know a rape is occurring.”

I'm actually hoping that it's not true that people could have intervened and didn't, instead filmed it.  But I also haven't read anything explicit that contradicts this other than the DA simply saying that "it's not true".  Maybe they can't say anything more explicit about what did take place because they are building a case, but it should be pretty black and white imo.  No one helped her, and even the DA said at least one person filmed it (allegedly as evidence).  His job is to build a case and get witnesses, so I definitely think it's more in his best interest to be "good cop" in this situation and he does has motive to gloss over what may have happened.

Bernhardt said he remained disappointed that no one else intervened but said his concern has shifted to identifying witnesses who might be able to assist in prosecuting Ngoy.

"We don’t want to scare any witnesses into not coming forward,” he said.

So the Police lied about passengers not doing anything? They should be fired.

Yep, par for the course.  The District Attorney even set the record straight with the police chief standing behind him not saying anything.

Yeah, the people who actually prosecute the crimes.

Oh, so passengers intervened and stopped it?   Right.....................

That's subjective

Unless there's a gun involved and a poor youth suspect who was simply a victim of his circumstance.  Then we just drop those charges and let him go...

So your take is that the District Attorney is lying.  Kind of a heavy accusation…

OK

My point is that the argument he's trying to make is pretty irrelevant.  Fact of the matter is no one intervened. They let this woman get raped.

Am I wrong?  Krasner has a record of letting people off the hook on gun charges.  It's literally part of his policy as DA. It's been his policy to increase the number of gun cases that result in probation instead of prison time by sending those cases to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. And that's a HUGE mistake.  That may make sense for stuff like drug possession cases, but why oh why on earth would you want to do that for gun cases?  People carrying illegal weapons are the exact people you want taken off the street.

Well Moss hasn’t lived around here in probably 20+ years so his opinion doesn’t hold much weight.

Not quite that long.  But yeah, it’s been awhile.

Were there passengers on board? The Police lied about it.
