For cunningham I’d go to eBay right now. With how the economy is doing there’s a ton of jersey from that actual time period on there as people are selling. You can find one for a good price that’s not a Mitchell and ness. Mitchell and ness are extremely expensive and overrated. Dawkins is going to be harder to find cause people aren’t as willing to sell. PM me i can link you to a good Cunningham jersey.

I will say I do have 4 Dawks. (2) AFC Pro Bowl Jerseys when he was with Broncos(one is signed). 1 White Jersey from the china. and 1 Mitchell and Ness 1996 throwback Green Jersey I bought at the stadium($350) . Out of all them the Mitchell and Ness do blow the others away quality wise.

Yea i did notice Mitchell & Ness even on my Redsox  jerseys are head and Shoulders exceptional in quality. They re pricey though that's the problem but if you have the cash

The jerseys that were available in the late 1980s and early 1990s generally were lower quality replicas.  Many of them didn't have the name on the back and a small number of them didn't have the TV numbers on the shoulders/sleeves.  The jersey material was often clearly inferior to authentic jerseys, or even replica jerseys that have been available over the last 25 years.  Actually, replica jerseys, much less authentic jerseys, were rare before about 1990, and many of the ones that did exist had obvious differences with what you saw the players wear (rather than the more subtle differences common with today's "real" replica jerseys).

FWIW, I have a replica kelly green era black Randall Cunningham jersey that I bought in roughly 1993 or 1994.  (The jersey has kelly green numbers in white outlines.)

Most of the jerseys I have (and I have a lot of jerseys, over 30 dating back about 30 years) I bought after they were discounted during holiday or after season sales.  It isn't hard to get jerseys at least 20-30% off that way, one just needs to be patient.

If you buy a Mitchell & Ness jersey (and I only have one, a Harold Carmichael kelly green replica that ironically almost definitely was a knockoff but worth the $60 or so I paid for it at a mall kiosk), your best bet is to go to the physical Mitchell & Ness store in Center City Philadelphia if possible.  (In your case I realize that may not be possible, but I don't know if/how often you get to Philadelphia.)  Their store is on 12th Street between Market (the primary east-west street in Center City Philadelphia) and Chestnut Streets.  They have a lot of really nice, high quality, but very expensive NFL, MLB, and NBA stuff there, including NFL jerseys.  All of the player jerseys Mitchell & Ness has, regardless of sport, are for retired players.  When I go there, they usually have an Eagles display right in the front of the store right in front of you to the right when you walk in.  The store essentially carries all the same M&N branded jerseys that can be found at the Eagles Pro Shop at Lincoln Financial Field.

One other thing about M&N products - they tend to run small.  That's more true for their T-shirts/sweatshirts (of which I have a few) than their jerseys, but it's true with the latter too.  If you buy a M&N football jersey, if possible you'll want to try on the jersey first to see if it fits in your typical size.  A few years ago when I was at the M&N store in Philadelphia, there was a fairly thin guy there who was buying a Cowboys jersey (BOO!!! - IIRC it was either a Roger Staubach or Drew Pearson jersey) who needed feedback on whether a jersey fit him.  The jersey in his regular size fit a little too snugly, and I recommended he buy a jersey one size larger.

Thank you for the information i live in NY so i'm not far from Philly at all 2 hours if that. I appreciate the help and the options though .

Not a problem i appreciate it and Fanatics and NFL have bee n giving crap away due to this Virus and trying to make up losing revenue i would think. Everyday i get Emails on 65-70% percent off lol

I think NFL jerseys are often excluded from Fanatics' promotions (and the NFL.com Shop operated by Fanatics) unfortunately.  Having said that, with the current COVID-19 situation many retailers are trying different tactics to get people to buy stuff, so jerseys may NOT be excluded from some of the discount promotions, especially for guys that weren't just drafted.  Now is probably a good time to get a deal if one is looking for a deal.

No problem, glad to be of help.  One thing I forgot to mention in my post (though I just edited it) - all the player jerseys Mitchell & Ness has, regardless of sport, are for retired players.  I do not believe they have contractual authority with any sports league to make jerseys for current players.

Not all the time, I bought several jerseys earlier this year and they were included in the discount. That was before all of this pandemic stuff hit. Now custom jerseys may be excluded, that I don't know.

I'll have to go and see what their discounts are right now. I have $25 or $30 in their reward points that I still need to spend.

March is usually the best time of year to buy an NFL jersey on discount online; that's when jersey discounts are most likely to be available.  The midnight green Fletcher Cox replica jersey I have, the first NFL jersey I bought after Nike took over the NFL jersey contract from Reebok, I bought in either March 2014 or March 2015 when either Fanatics or the NFL Shop had a 25% off discount on NFL jerseys.

I'm pretty sure customized jerseys are usually not included in any discounts unless you buy one after the NFL jersey contract changes.

during the late 80s and 90s the jerseys were all screen print  If someone is selling it saying it’s stitched then it’s a fake jersey. I believe in the 60s and 70s they went stitched but those are even more rare to find. I’ve looked if you find one they are all customized so they aren’t from the era or the real thing.

With the 80s to mid 90s It depends on why type of screen print. If it’s the heavy screen print it’s the authentic and if it is the lighter it was just the replica jersey. Also during that time there was sand knit brand and then it went into Russell athletic, Wilson or champion depending on the season. i tend to go with sand knit the quality is usually better plus with sand knit you can telL the replicas Cause the replicas they didn’t put the numbers on the sleeves only on the authentics did they always do that (Unless someone is selling a knock off like) 

like you said a lot of the time the jerseys didn’t have names on the back where the nameplate or where the name should go. Jerseys buying wasn’t what it was back then so they were much harder to find authentic until the mid 90s   

ive Gotten multiple authentics from that era. Like you said have to be on the look out from different sites and eBay. Someone will post one. And of you are paying attention they’ll be a good gem on there. I’m mad there was a sand knit Montgomery jersey and i missed out on it and it’s super rare to find a sand knit Montgomery. You only see Mitchell and ness for the most part. I have a jaws game worn from the early 80s and a bergey authentic. That’s the oldest i have back in my collection. I’ve tried to get a eagles 60s jersey but they are usually just all customize and really the only way to get a real one is buying a game worn made by durene brand during that era. I have eagles, sixers, Flyers and phillies over 100 from all different parts.

If you want 20% off anything at nflshop hit me up with a PM. If you have the eagles MasterCard they give you 20 percent off everything unless it’s on sale already. It’s why when the eagles won the super bowl i went wild and bought a ton of stuff cause i got 20 percent off anyway. Applies to jerseys and basically everything. 

it was better before though. It used to work even on sale stuff. It’s why i has a second wave of buying Super Bowl stuff. Like when they dropped super bowl merchandise by like 25 percent you could use the 20 percent off additional to it. They caught on and stopped that 

Another thing that you can use to save a little bit on Fanatics purchases (and possibly other similar sites/stores), is Rakuten. In the past year or so, I've gotten close to $300 back from purchases through them.

That's been my attitude ever since Owens started his crap after Super Bowl XXXIX. But I made an exception for Nick Foles and bought a Foles LII jersey. I knew that he wouldn't be on the team for much longer, when I bought it, but in his case that didn't matter.

I bought a foles nike one after the 2013 season cause he played at my alma mater and i had balled with him at the rec/Mckale center Here and actually talked to him so i was thrilled to see him have success.

I usually gravitate to certain players. Like i still want to get a lane or kelce jersey before they retire. I’m playing with fire with kelce cause it’s gonna happen sooner rather than later
