No, it's only terrorism if it's politically motivated.  It's literally in the definition.  Jan 6th being politically motivated isn't up for debate.  With this case, we'll see.  He wasn't waving a BLM flag or screaming BLM chants, like the Jan 6th terrorists did, so we'll have to figure out his motivations by other means. They've got the guy dead to rights, so arguing not guilty seems like a stretch, but maybe he will somehow.  If he pleads guilty though, I would assume he'd confess to why he did it.
