I never paid attention to all the "he is athletically limited" BS ... if you can play you can play.  Edwards clearly can.  Glad to have him locked in for at least another year.

Well, I still wish he was faster. But you have to love the violence in him.

That‘s clearly good for us. If he can‘t keep it up we haven‘t given up much, yet we got him here for next year if he can.

Wasn‘t his biggest fan, but at that price tag.. I like it.

Yep - was panicking when I saw it that they would give him a 3 year 35 million contract, but I like this. Gives Edwards some security and reward for his strong play in recent weeks, but also ensures we are not committed to a player with limitations and gives us a longer look at him. Good deal for both sides.

I’m going to remain cautiously optimistic about Edwards. Since he and Taylor have been put in the lineup they have made plays and caused turnovers, but I still am concerned that once teams get more film on him they could expose him more like they exposed Singleton. I still think they could use a linebacker, but as of late Edwards and Taylor have been doing a decent job.

Oh without doubt. I like Edwards and Taylor is flashing but they definitely need more at LB especially in this scheme.

We will draft a LB for sure. Just not in the first.. and we really shouldn‘t. That value is just bad.

I don't have an issue with it, but I think his play (and Taylor's) have been grossly overrated the last month. That's not to say they've been bad, but they also haven't faced really any threat aside from Herbert, who torched the D.

I just want to see them play at the level they have been, but against competent QBs/offenses.

He was a really good playmaking LB at Wisconsin.  I liked it when they got him.  Always been frustrated that they kept pushing out limited vets vs trying to develop him and get the system to fit the talent.  Glad to see this signing but I agree they still need to add some LB talent in the draft.
