To be fair we're not the only teams who missed out on Justin Jefferson. Both the Raiders and Broncos did as well.

I think this game confirms that the Eagles do indeed need to draft another wide receiver.  Adams will probably re-sign with Green Bay, and Robinson is approaching the wrong side of thirty.

You get excellent WRs in the 2nd round to the mid 3rd.  If you know what you're doing

I would love to get Burks, but that Miami pick probably won't be high enough.

How is Robinson approaching.the wrong side of 30 when he isn't even 30 and won't be for 2 more years? Also on a terrible passing team

Then we're screwed.

There's no way they select three 1st round picks.  At least one will be used in a trade.

If Hurts fails to improve by the end of the year, it makes all the sense in the world to trade some 2022 picks for 2023 picks, to add more ammo. However if by miracle Hurts does improve and stops throwing interceptions, than perhaps building up the rest of the team in 2022 might be prudent.

Hurts played a terrible game today, but I also feel sorry for the guy. You start the season off by giving him zero help and make him throw the ball 30-40 times with like 5 run plays, and he played decent.

Then,

Coaching/Team management decides to give him some help and gets the run game going and does a total backflip by  Running a ton and throwing a lot less which gets Hurts feeling comfortable but his pass game regresses.

Hurts is f******d here imo, he doesn't have the coaching, nor does he have the talent/skill to rise above. Time to grab another franchise QB and hope for the best..

I'm not sure financially if they would pay three 1st round picks, but on paper I'd love to take 3 guys in the 1st round to try and collect talent, this team just needs an infusion of young talent badly especially on defense.

However, last year's trade back with Miami was a great trade and they still got a pretty high draft pick.  I think it makes a lot of sense to do a similar trade to get a 1st in 2023.  I read the other day that "analysts" expect 3 QBs to be taken in the 1st round despite the class not being strong, because teams always like taking QBs.  I hope the Eagles don't reach on one, but rather trade with someone who wants to get a QB.

I would draft BPA at just about any position this year and try to add to the core of the team, then in 2023 if Hurts is not the long term answer then draft a QB then.

Just like there was supposed to be 5 QBs taken in the top 10 this year?

All that needs to be said:

You have one receiver coming out with 111 receptions for 1540 yards and 18 touchdowns in the toughest college conference and then you have another receiver with 43 receptions for 611 yards and 5 touchdowns in Big 12.....

I'll take all time dumbest decisions for 1000 Alex!

After Sunday's game, I really believe that the Eagles need to use one of their first-rounders on a wide receiver.  And I believe this not just because of Reagor's poor player and the lack of a reliable #2 opposite Smith, but also because passing over Jefferson has become a disaster for this franchise.  This is once again becoming national news, and honestly I'm beginning to wonder if Howie can survive another bust.  This miss has become such a monumentally bad look for the franchise that I believe they probably need to draft another stud receiver just to address the damage it has done to the brand.

Until they get a QB there's really no point in a WR. Whatever WR they add they'd be severely limited by the QB and the way this offense has to play for him. Anyway I'd rather they try and get one of the very good FA WRs that should be available.

Fire Howie Bread and suddenly most of the problems go away

The Eagles need a WR. I’d rather they sign a FA. No more Howie guesses.

My feeling is that unless Smith can match or excel Jefferson's production, the Eagles may very well be forced to look at wide receiver again.

My feeling is that Smith is being wasted by coaches who choose quantity (of WRs) over quality and deprive him of valuable playing time.

IMHO Smith, Scott, Goedert, Gainwell and Watkins should get most of the opportunities - in that order.
If Sanders and Howard are healthy, use them heavily in the fourth quarter when the defense is tired
and they can run right through them. Scott and Gainwell don't need that handicap to really shine.

Even then, Hurts will still hog the ball more than he should, making it difficult for Smith to hit his true potential.
Especially if Hurts is throwing crappy passes.

Call me nuts but that's how I'd play them.

Adding another Howie receiver selection to this group will not improve the situation. We have enough young guys running around out there who don’t really know what they’re doing. They need to go sign a veteran guy with proven hands capable of making NFL catches and running NFL routes.

I lean this way as well. Get someone on the other side of Smith who already knows what he is doing, and that gives a chance for Smith AND Hurts to grow. As far as Hurts goes, I ripped the hell out of him after last weeks game, and rightfully so. The thing that kills me the most... is that he pretty much has all the qualities a QB needs EXCEPT the ability to throw, which negates everything else. Eagles were THIS close to getting lucky with him. Truth be told, I WANT him to succeed, but I just think it's wishful thinking at this point. I don't dislike him like I dislike McNabb, personality/ human side of things. It's the QB IQ and the arm that kills it for me, with the arm being the most concern. QB IQ can be developed, but if that's all the arm he has.... not good. Hurts- I wanna be wrong, so prove me wrong ASAP- for real.

I think it’s realistic to doubt Hurts. I get why people do, but I’m just not ready to crown him either way especially with some of the talent around him. I watch the Chargers and I don’t always see accurate passes thrown by their quarterback, but I do see receivers making plays for him. On this team other than Smith I don’t really see it much. If the Eagles decide to move on from Hurts then that fine as long as they realize this team needs more than just a new quarterback. Russell Wilson isn’t coming in here and making the Eagles a better football team. Just last week he scored 15 points against WTF and he has DK and Tyler Lockett to throw to. Is he really going to make Jalen Reagor better? I don’t think so. In a season where the Eagles had no cap space to improve the team they have more wins than they did last season and with the potential to add more talent via the draft and free agency. Going out there and getting Watson or Rodgers or Wilson basically kills any draft capital and it kill cap space. How do the Eagles progress as a team when all they have is a quarterback? Will Watson make them a playoff team? Heck the last time he played his team won 4 games for the season.

We need a 2nd WR but the value sweet spot is in round 2 for that position

Smith is #1. They will probably draft another receiver this draft and then Watkins can be #3.

It isn't the eagles sweet spot

Justin Jefferson had nearly 200 yards receiving with only 11 catches today.  Oh, and there is this:Screenshot_20211205-180155_Twitter.thumb.jpg.b807cf38505048379c83cf05a46628fa.jpg
