Eric Allen should already be in. Watters? I don't know that he'll ever get in.

"For who, for what"

I say no to Watters.

I don't like when they list players as eagles players for the hall of fame when they had their best years somewhere else. Just my own thing lol.

Fifteen finalists will be revealed in January. In addition to the modern-era finalists will be senior finalist Cliff Branch, contributor finalist Art McNally and coach finalist Dick Vermeil.

Vermeil should be in, so I think this will be his year.

I agree.  Watters was good, but there are so many RBs and his yards per carry for some years was very average.

I was about to post this. Personally I think both players deserve the HOF. Ricky Watters have all the credentials despite the hate he gets.

I agree he has the credentials but Ricky for who for what Watters was a major dope....even people who have met him personally talk about how much of a jerk he was.....

Worst thing he could’ve said, but there are worse people in the HOF.

Ricky watters belong in the hall of very good, then again a bunch of hall of famers belong in the hall of very good

Eric Allen should have been in a long time ago.

Glad to see Eric become a finalist, he deserves it. It still blows my mind how Seth gets dissed in HOF voting. Put his #s up against Derrick Brooks, they're the same. Brooks has one Lombardi, that's the only difference. (I think Seth got a Lombardi as well, with Denver, but that was as a backup)

Didn't realize Ricky had over 10,000 yards rushing.  Not bad......still don't see him in the HOF.

I know he didn't put up the numbers Watters did but I always liked Charlie Garner better.

Does Ricky Watters have the credentials?  Corey Dillon has better numbers and as many rings and I wouldn't put him in either.

Eric Allen should alreadt be in.

It’s an interesting comparison, but I feel like Watters beats Dillion in total yards (14891-13154) and playoff performances. At some point in time when they start looking into Pats SB teams Dillion probably will get in though he was only a part of one SB victory. EDA0514B-335B-4B81-8B0A-000F3EC541CD.thumb.jpeg.a072e22d5d6a8eb16ede168d8df07c48.jpeg

Watters blows Dillon away when you start adding in the receiving yards

I get it sometimes like when they wrote and congratulated "Eagles HOF player Richard Dent.” 😂🤣😂 Like huh? I don’t quite put Watters in that category though. He was a highly productive Eagle and he had Eagles record for the most rush yards for a while. On top of that he played 12 season and played 4 years for all three teams. He was very productive for all three teams as well.

Watters has those numbers that can creep up and surprise people. Most people I think just consider him a jag and write him off. People kill him for the "for who for what” quote, but if you actually look at that season Watters just flat out balled for the Eagles. Anytime a back has over 300 carries he’s literally carrying the team. In 96 Watters led the league in carries for the Eagles with 353.

Yup, watters was a really good back he was outstanding for the niners and their super bowl run. Then his first 2 years here he was a huge reason why they went 10-6 especially with what they trotted out there for QB

Eric Allen was my favorite player for many years. I was crushed when he left. I was at the game at Giants Stadium against the Jets when he made that monumental interception (the game when Randall broke his leg the 2nd time)
