It was rumored years ago they were making a movie of him playing himself and self-aware of how crazy & over the top he can be and playing it up. Guess they added a plot.

I'm convinced there are 2 Nic Cages, because there's no possible way he has the bandwidth as 1 person to be in so many horrible/awesome movies all at the same time.  

He has starred in 18 movies since 2018 (during Covid as well), and he has 5 already set to come out in 2022.  He's the real-life Multiplicity!

This was a waste of $20. I shouldn't have expected more considering my feelings on the star of the film.
