Posted May 4, 20205 yr Basically Kent State University students were protesting Viet Nam War specifically US Troops going into Cambodia. Students protest, get drunk, cause a disturbance, set a building on fire (ROTC Building i think), cut water hose of firefighters National Guard troops open fire on a crowd of students and kill 2 who were active in the protest and 2 who were just wrong place and wrong time. Its disputed why the troops opened fire Me personally, I've never felt passionately enough about anything to protest it. When you throw rocks at police/troops you're asking for trouble

As a whole, if you do that stuff you're asking for trouble Obviously there were several incident bystanders who were killed or injured Their deaths/injuries should have blame partly placed on the protesters

I see your point, but only one side had loaded weapons.

May 7, 20205 yr If only they had thought to wear MAGA hats and carry AR-15s. Everyone knows that's the difference between unruly protesters getting what's coming to them and patriotic Americans exercising their right to free speech. We've come a long way since then.

It is pretty ironic that "gun girl” (Kaitlin Bennett) is a recent Kent State grad (2018)
