Posted May 4, 20205 yr Plenty of Eagles players, past and present, do a pretty good job. Maybe they are adequate starters with limited ceilings. Maybe they are darn good, but something just never clicked with you, and you just couldn't bring yourself to root for the guy. Challenge yourself. Try to pick a player or two who will surprise people. Obviously, saying you never really liked Michael Vick isn't going to be overly surprising. Saying you never really liked LeSean McCoy might be more interesting. Maybe we can change your mind! (LOL, probably not.) Past, present... world is your oyster. I'll start with a couple: Past: Jevon Kearse I felt we got him after his best years were over. He became tied up with the "throwing fastballs" narrative that never really came to fruition. I felt he disappeared more than he showed, and I just never really embraced him on the Eagles. Present: Avonte Maddox It feels like he flashed and then kind of just hasn't done much. I know he's been bounced around from safety to nickel to outside and had some injuries and that one insanely bad concussion, and he's proven adequate-ish at worst. Doesn't help that I dislike Pitt, but I think my lack of love for him has very little to do with that. Maybe it's just that I think his existence prevents the Eagles from acquiring better players (even though they got both Slay and Robey-Coleman, proving that theory also wrong). IDK... the point is irrationally dislike, and Maddox isn't my guy.

May 4, 20205 yr I grew up long after he retired, but I never cared much for Bednarik: his interviews, his attitude, etc. It always seemed to me like he looked down on the modern game. Is that sacrilege?
May 4, 20205 yr Past: Riley Cooper. To me he is the epitome of Chip Kelly’s culture club. Present: Sidney Jones. Mostly due to how other people just anointed him as the great one and he did absolutely nothing to prove it. People wanted this guy out there starting and constantly made excuses for his poor play.

I am a Bama fan so I've seen him play live. It's just I see him as a wasted pick.

May 4, 20205 yr Past: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. I see him as the reason why we let Asante Samuel go. Asante was one of my favorites, DRC wasn't good at all and had an attitude that I never liked. You could argue it was more because of Asomugha, but the good news is that I also dislike him (I guess we all do). Present: I don't really like Rasul Douglas. Mainly because of that stupid celebration where he "makes it rain" after an interception. That said, I'll never hate a member of the 2017 Eagles. As long as they don't do something really stupid, I'll forever be grateful.
