As Jim Nantz was forced to miss his telecast due to COVID protocols, Tom McCarthy, the Phillies lead play-by-play who also does NFL and other games for CBS got the main late game today on CBS, Panthers-Buccanneers.

Not the first time McCarthy has worked a main or national game, last season, when a Titans-Chiefs game was moved to Tuesday due to COVID, McCarthy had that game as well. 

He usually does the Sunday night game in radio for Westwood One
