Privacy groups sounded alarms about the coin-sized location-tracking devices when they were introduced. xzmattzx Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 I did the opposite. I bought an AirTag and put it in a discreet place in my car. So if someone steals my car, I can track it unless they assume there's an AirTag in it and spend the time looking for it. 1

Apple says they alert you up to 24 hrs. and several victims didn't get alerted for several hours until they got home all the time their whereabouts were being tracked. Pretty creepy. For me it's the product and It's already being misused.
