Given all the news about Nagy I think the guy needs another shot. Bring in Allen Robinson along with him. Open QB competition in camp. Athletic enough to run similar offense to Hurts. Kick the tires on this FA QB and trade a first rounder for 2023 to hedge.

Oh god no. He was bad in Chicago, he was never a first round pick and the Bears were fools to trade up for him. He's not good. People have an issue with Hurts accuracy well they'd be screaming for Hurts to come back if Trubisky were to start a game.

It's a joke people wanting to bring in all these awful QBs. We are not even an Aaron Rodgers away from being truly competitive. Trubisky is not going to help.

The team isn't strong enough to spend cap/draft picks on a veteran QB who would actually improve us. By all means draft a QB, but don't trade up/reach for one in the first, especially when their best case scenario is being set at Andy Dalton/Derek Carr.

Try and get another first for 2023, roll with Hurts and Minshew this year and then you are in a position to get a good QB in the draft next year.

Competition to the QB room is needed. We aren't bringing in some elite prospect or Vet this year

Competition is yes. Trubisky isn't bringing any though.

he actually looked pretty good in buffalo’s preseason... not that i’m saying it’ a good move, i’d prefer it to a high draft pick this year or sending a bunch of picks for a qb. we need way more then a qb.

I don't want to send a bunch of picks for a QB either. I'm just saying bringing in Trubisky is a waste.

Pretending that Trubisky is a bum when compared to Hurts is a straight up laughfest.

Trubisky has a higher career completion percentage, better passer rating, and only 0.3 yards less per rushing attempt than Hurts.

Maybe a better point is that they are both backups and neither should be starting. but Hurts is not better.  In a fair competition, Trubisky would likely win out, but we need better than both of them can provide.

Everyone agrees that Hurts is not elite but at the same time don't want to bring in competition? Just weird. 2022 we will likely have the worst QB in the division again unless something miraculous happens. Let the 3 battle it out... what could it hurt? :)

I don't disagree that Hurts is not elite and won't ever be elite (in all likelihood) but nor is Trubisky. It is literally a waste of time.

Guys stop dumpster diving for QBs, you're only going to find trash.

Trash to compete against trash. Sounds about right to me.

I agree, Trubisky has the talent to be a top notch QB, the question becomes is Sirianni any better than Nagy, if not you're likely to see the Bears Trubisky.

I hate it, but I agree with the conspiracy theorist.  Trunisky could do more than Hurts in this offense.
