He was killing it vs SF until he got hurt.  Even the SF players came over to pat him on the back as they stretchered him off.

I was working that night, luckily the office manager was from Philly and was an Eagles fan. So we had it on the TV. Unfortunately, my desk was right under the TV so I had to turn around and look up behind me to see it.

Vick against WTF

Vick never played against that team, he did play against the Redskins, though. But as nice as that game was, I'd include the Miracle at the New Meadowlands before including that game.

This game is probably one I wouldn't list. Foles played great don't get me wrong....

The Oakland defense was pathetic that day though. Tripping over themselves blowing coverage all day, leaving freaking Cooper open all day.

I'll put them on equal ground, the Oakland defense was as bad as Foles was good that day. That is why I was never all that impressed with that game.

I was actually at that game … had great tickets around the 40 yard line.  I agree with you that it was more of an Oakland defense failure than an epic performance by Foles.  Still, I mean, that is tied for the NFL record, and he got his 7th TD in the 3rd freaking quarter.  You have to include that game in the top 10.

Good point, like I said it was a great game and no small task either. I just remember some of those there wasn't a defender in sight.

Also what kind of killed some of the excitement was Manning did it first game of the season against the Ravens that year.

That seemed to be the season that opened the flood gates for inflated numbers in the passing game.

I understand why people like to include the new Miracle. For me, I don’t because Vick was really only great for the final 7 1/2 minutes of the game. Granted they were the most important 7 1/2 minutes, but he was great start to finish against the Redskins.

That consideration did cross my mind as a reason not to include it, but he did it when it mattered most and won the game. Vick isn't one that I give a lot of credit to in most cases, but in that case, I will.

Yeah, agreed about Manning ... too bad, because it had been 44 years (!) since anyone else had done it - Joe Kapp back in 1969.  [Brees has done it since, in 2015.]

True story:  I almost did not go to the game because my friend was waffling on whether he wanted to go - I convinced him by telling him "What if Nick Foles throws 8 TDs and sets the NFL record?  You wouldn't want to miss that, would you?"

Lol, great story! I really wish Chip would of let him try to get 8, which I'm sure he would have. Chip was a Foles hater though and that's why I hate him lol.

I had some personal reasons for wanting Foles to get to 8 TDs. 2013 was the year my stepdad passed away and that Raider game was played on November 3rd which was his birthday. 8 was also his last racing number so that’s why I was hoping he would have gotten to 8. Obviously holding the all time record alone would have been great too.

Chip did give Foles one more drive in the fourth quarter to try to get the record, but it went nowhere and then they put the backup in, which, frankly, I thought was appropriate.

CORRECTION:  After the 7th TD, Chip gave Foles one more drive in the 3rd quarter, which went three and out, and another drive in the 4th quarter, which also went three and out, before pulling Foles up 49-13 with about 9 minutes to go.  Going for the record would have been bush league, and Chip put Matt Barkley in to mop up.

Oh, I keep forgetting about that drive he gave him. Agreed though, no sense in getting your QB hurt over a record.

Vick Miracle at the Meadowlands 2 comeback

Edit: Agreed on this list.

I can't remember exact games from when I was a kid and not sure they qualify but when I think of great QB performances I also think of 2 Randall moments.  That crazy acrobatic play where he was almost down and then got up and completed a TD pass.  And when he threw a 95 yard TD bomb to Fred Barnett.

Another McNabb game I remember was a Monday night game against the Cowboys where he basically put the team on his back.  There was a play where he scrambled for a really long time, ESPN did a counter on the reply it was like over 15 seconds then he found an open man and completed a 1st down pass.  There were other great plays.

The Koy Detmer 49ers game when he was going off, then looked like he was dying from a hit.  He was lying there convulsing I thought he was going to be paralyzed.  The respect the 49ers players gave him was awesome as they saw him off the field on a stretcher.

Agreed, except I wasn't thinking the 2008 NFCCG.

[CHOMP]

For Foles I would also add the 2017 NFCCG.  The Vikings had a good defense and people thought it would be a close game.  Foles even threw a friggin flea flicker.  He had an amazing game.

I think you may be misinterpreting the list.  The "2008" NFCCG is not listed, it is the "2018 nfccg".  By which I think is meant the 2017 NFCCG that you want to add -- it was played in January, 2018.

The Cunningham-to-Jimmy Giles MNF game against the Giants was 10/10/88. 369 yards when 369 meant something. This makes my list.

Doh! Thanks. My tired eyes after a day of staring at my computer Thanks.

And would have won the super bowl had they let Koy play the whole championship game against the Panthers to advance.

Wasn't it later found out that Koy faked the injury against the niners?

Umm he dislocated his elbow, one could see it go out on live tv, so if that was a fake by koy, he really committed

Yup, no worries, I should have read through the rest of the thread before responding, my bad.

All good! I think I mixed it up because I was reading an article awhile back and they were talking about both incidents. I think they were talking about the niners game and then they went into how Koy actually had to fake an injury and well you saw what I posted, he felt weird about it lol.

Yeah I remember that story funny stuff 😄

aside from the Obvious (2017 season)...

McNabb's MNF game against the Giants...forget the year, but we had lost like 7 straight to the Giants..and McNabb led a late game comeback for the victory

also 2004:
McNabb's 14 second scramble in the Dallas game then completion to Freddie Mitchell...that game was the T.O. show as well..Madden was absolutely salivating over McNabb that night

The rest of you can finish the list.

Ty Detmer's first game where he threw like 4 TDs to Irving Fryar

Jim McMahon's 40-8 game vs the 49ers
