As I understand it the previous version now redirects to the NYTimes.com version. i had the previous version bookmarked and it automatically redirected me to the NYtimes site right away. i think the people who were getting the other word was people that never closed the tab on the game. if they hit refresh it would redirect them to the new version.

Ok. I do the same thing. I bookmarked the old site, but I reload it every day. It takes me directly to NYTimes now. I wondered how some people got a different version.
