February 23, 20223 yr Work in progress, but this is basically what I've been doing to start out... 1st Word: AUDIO 2nd Word: A (correct placement): ASTER, ANGEL, ASKED, ANTIC A (incorrect placement: STARE, TEARS, U (correct placement): TURNS, SUITE, U (incorrect placement: SPURT, I (correct placement): STAIN, BROIL, I (incorrect placement: SPITE, SWIPE, O (correct placement): RODEO, O (incorrect placement: STORE, (All missing): STEER Misc incorrect placements: UNITE, CORAL, BOATS, TRADE Misc correct placements: RATIO, TURBO, AUTOS, Mix correct/incorrect: VIDEO, PIANO, CAMEO, Adding words as I go. Obviously the branching gets nuts after that second level, but this should hopefully narrow down the dictionary by roughly 50-70% for the 3rd guess. This method fails hard on words with single vowels and repeated consonants like CYNIC.

I ended up getting it in 6, but I think I would have gotten there quicker had I used my usual go to's.
February 23, 20223 yr I don't like using same word every time. The word will tend to have RSTE in it.
