Sometimes the worst guess is the best guess. Because it eliminates so many of the possible entries in the answer. Yesterday after the first guess, I figured it had to be a one-digit or 3-digit solution. When I nailed the solution in the second try, all I had to do was figure out the equation. You have to get it in the correct order. That's what the purple and green boxes are for.

That's what the purple and green boxes are for. i think i like nerdle more now. its want i want wordle to be. in wordle, i feel like youre trying to guess a word as quickly as you can, and theres more guess work involved. like todays word, i put it in and wasnt 100% sure it was a word or spelled correctly. in nerdle, since its an eqaution, i feel like its more absolute. like you eliminate factors and try to find the true statement youre looking for.

A dictionary is very much finite, especially if you exclude all the words with fewer or more than 5 letters. The challenge of wordle is training your thought process to be algorithmic. Basically you'd have to think about how you would write software to efficiently determine the solution (likewise with a dictionary and look up table), and then mirror that approach mentally.
