Then gave a passive aggressive reference to @DrPhilly for pointing out Antifa and being a more acceptable version of wrong as if you didn't actually know what was in your own links you posted. So you can understand my confusion when some idiot says "the left rioted" after Hillary lost when, in fact, it never happened. What did happen was peaceful marches with tiny splinter groups peeling off from everyone else making trouble. So, again, you can understand the confusion. Or maybe you still don't understand. Who knows such things...

I used to check his profile every now and then to see if he was just lurking but he hadn't even logged in for a while and don't remember seeing he was banned. Was hopeful it was him just stepping away and not something bad, don't remember if he was older or not. Maybe someone with a better memory can remember if he did in fact get banned

I do think he was older and retired in Florida but might be mixing him up with someone else.

Some dude on the old EMB was going off in RnR the week it was closing about finally not being banned over something he said about a certain posters wife. He was denied entry to here. May 10, 20205 yr @DrPhilly To answer the original question, I think the west finally decides to start participating in Cold War II. I know all of the CVON geniuses spent the last 10 years telling me that trade with China was not a national security issue, but low and behold, it is, and the free world is finally starting to notice and fight back. Japan is spending billions to pull their manufacturing out of China, the US has imposed much needed tariffs to combat chinas predation and force them to the table on enforceable trade arrangements, Europe and the rest of the Anglo-sphere will soon follow. I think China collapses in spectacular fashion if the western world pushes hard enough. I think the EU/EMU is 50/50 to last. I could see a split of the north and south at the least. And I think we may see some really unprecedented economic dynamics at play in the US where our relative strength compared to the rest of the world saves us from our fundamental problems. Just a wild thought here, but what happens in an inflationary domestic economy when your currency strengthens versus all foreign currencies? Is that a silver bullet to solve (or at least resolve in a somewhat orderly fashion) our problems? Imagine a world where the US government can borrow at negative rates (essentially wiping out large swaths of our national debt stock simply through refinancing) while our currency appreciates against the rest of the world (driving down the costs of imports for consumers) and domestic private debt essentially gets wiped out through inflation and/or monetization. Kind of a mind bending situation, but one I think is possible.
