The Eagles are among the teams in the NFL that move the needle on a daily basis and for Colin Cowherd, his focus is constantly on the quarterback position.

The prior three years were all about Carson Wentz, but with Jalen Hurts now entrenched as the starter and Philadelphia equipped with three-first round picks, the 2022 offseason is all the rage for hot takes and trade scenarios.

Cowherd believes the Eagles should copy the Rams recipe for going all-in on a Super Bowl, but he took the suggestion 30 steps further, urging Philadelphia to include star cornerback Darius Slay and four first-round picks to acquire Russell Wilson from the Seahawks.

The 33-year-old Wilson currently holds has a $37 million cap hit in 2022 and a $40 million cap hit in 2023.

The reactions are about what you would expect from social media.

I would have traded that for Russ a few years ago.  Now?  I'm not so sure I want him at all.

I would never trade 4 x 1s and a pro bowl starting CB for any single player.

Doing so now at his age ... Cowherd can't be serious ... he has to be phishing for clicks.

If you're the Seahawks, what would it take for you to trade Wilson? Imagine it from Seattle's POV.

Most Seahawks fans don't think Russ wants to go anywhere.

I saw a piece of nonsense that suggested that they could get Watson AND a 2 in a 3 way trade with Washington and Houston.  The comments section of the article (Seahawks page) was full of fans scoffed at that idea, thinking that it wasn't enough.

Dumbest thing ever. Rams were literally a above avg QB away from a SB. And it was proven. They will go back to sucking once all these deals catch up to them.

4 firsts and our best corner... So on a roster that lacks top end talent you then trade away one of your best players? And 4 first round picks where you could use them to add talent to the roster.

And for that contract for a 33 year old?

Absurd. And after this season? Everything more than a first would already be too much.

4 First Rounders? Not only do we get Wilson, but:

We get their Lombardi, any NFCCG trophies that they won, and the NFL officially transfers ownership of them to the Eagles. All Seahawks that received Super Bowl rings (or NFCCG rings) are required to return them to the NFL to be melted down and new rings for the Eagles of that season are to be made (at the Seahawks expense).

All fans that bought any Seahawks championship gear (Super Bowl or NFCCG), are required to return all of those items to the NFL and an equal number of Eagles fans are to be given new championship gear, at those Seahawks fans who had to return their gear, expense.

Any use of "12th Man" and anything similar to that, has to be granted to the Eagles (who may or may not use it but will own it). The jersey #12 for the Seahawks has to be unretired and issued to a player on every gameday roster.

Noise levels in the Seahawks stadium may not exceed 75 decibels at any time, whether during an NFL game or any other event in that stadium at any given time.

The Seahawks are required to allow Howie Roseman to select any draft pick that they acquire from the Eagles (not just those 4 but at any time in the future, as well).

If any of those conditions are violated, the Seahawks will forfeit all of their next 10 drafts (any and all picks), to the Eagles and their salary cap is reduced to one third of what the rest of the NFL teams have.

Then and ONLY then will we contemplate the notion of giving them 4 first round picks.
