Maybe this is more common than I thought, but I have joked before while driving through SC about there being so many pron and religious advertisements right next to each other.

My only experience driving in SC has only been on I95 driving down to Florida for the holidays the last two years. Can’t say I noticed too much of either on that route.
June 9, 20205 yr My memory of driving through South Carolina was that there were MANY signs for fireworks and for strip clubs.

From taking many trips directly south through Columbia, out west to Greenville, and east to Charleston, I always see these. I realize this one is out west, but it definitely reminds me of SC. I rarely ever hit 95 anymore, but I don't remember seeing as many going that route.

I cannot stand being interrupted while in the middle of a conversation and a meal. Good restaurants don't do that. They have good servers who know what they are doing. I always find that uncomfortable honestly. Also when the waiter asks, "how does your food taste?" I always want to ask back, "why what did you do to it?!?!"

When waiter comes back after we got our food and asks how everything is, I always lean back, give my plate a little shove and say, "It’s terrible. Take it back.” I can’t help myself. Every time my wife is like, "yeah, that was funny the first 100 times you did it.”
June 12, 20205 yr I actually like it when a manager/owner stops by to introduce themselves and see how things are. Granted, that’s usually when the meal is mostly done. Shows they give a f

Like are you expecting the waiter to say something like, "welp I tried everything on the menu before my shift. And to be honest, I would steer clear of the bone-in rib eye. Yesterday it was great. Today, not so much. Oh and the veg of the day, is patty pan squash and I hate those things, so get a salad instead". What do people f-ing think. That the quality of the food varies from day to day? Yes, you would want to know what the server's favorites are. But the "what's good today" question always bothered me. People are f-ing stupid. I don't honestly care what the waiters favorites are. I know what I like and I also like to try new stuff. So if I see something on the menu I haven't had before (unless it's vegan) I'm trying it.

By asking it that way you're including any daily specials, ingredients they've run out of, etc.
