I do and he actually wasn't nearly as dirty as his rep would lead you to believe. His game film was used for years after his retirement by numerous coaches while teaching proper tackling technique. He was the example. His reputation came from the fact he only had 2 speeds, idle and red line. When he was coming it was full speed every single play. It killed him.

Eagles do need help and obviously can’t get their hands on the kid in Jacksonville. If he has a break out year at worse we get one of those comp picks everyone seems to love so much. Clowney can’t hurt Carson if he’s on his team so win/win there. I’d rather our season no be derailed with this guy joining a divisional opponent and taking out Wentz with a hit the league said was good, but looks pretty darn questionable.

I just can’t see it. Yes we have 23 in cap room but we need to carry Most of that over into next year to offset us being 50m over. Otherwise we’d need to trade some valuable veterans to dig out of that hole - think Ertz, Cox.

I was thinking this as well. Get the Hawks to come up a few million because the Eagles are interested. I bet the Eagles did make an offer, but at the price he wants....then he would have signed it...

He never hunted heads of our players.  He started his career here in Philly and played most of it here (I believe he spent 2 years with the Cardinals at the end).  It’s different when you have someone from another team that took cheat shots at our players before potentially becoming an Eagle.

Do you  think that if this rumor was really true, that Howie would have already accounted for it? 

The eagles were projected last offseason to be $35 million over the cap this year.......Howie knows exactly what he has to work with now and next year.

That's the thing for me.....the hit on Wentz is done and over.  Was upset at the time but gotten over it.  

But him calling the Eagles fans the worst rubs me the wrong way.  Signing him would be too soon for me after such a comment. If he said this 3 years ago or something that would be different.
