The board is dead so I thought I'd try something new.

Made 3 trades during this simulation:

  • 15 for 20 and 52 with Pittsburgh
  • 52 for 61 and 102 with SF
  • 123 for 128 and 192 with Dallas

Went into the draft knowing about the Riddick signing and assuming no others.

Went into the draft with the following needs: CB, DE, S, S DT, LB on defense and WR, TE, RB, QB on offense. P and punt returner on teams. CB, RB for depth.

Draft:

  • 1/15 - CB Stingley, replaces Nelson
  • 1/19 - DE Johnson, replaces Barnett
  • 1/20 - S Hill, replaces Rodney
  • 2/51 - WR Pierce, replaces JJAW
  • 2/61 - TE McBride, backup to Goedert
  • 3 /83- RB Allgeier, replaces Howard
  • 4/102 - LB Tindall - replaces Avery
  • 4/128 - S Cross - replaces Harris
  • 154 - DT Henningsen - replaces Ridgeway
  • 162 - CB Evens (6'1" 4.45 - good H-W-S prospect), provides depth
  • 166 - WR Phillips (punt returner), replaces Ward
  • 192 - P Camarda, replaces Siposs
  • 205 - QB Glass, either replaces Sennett or practice quad developmental prospest

Note: because of compensatory picks the round of late picks is iffy.

Got all of the needs except a 2nd running back.

I like it overall. Would prefer we add picks for 2023 if we’re trading back though. Also probably have to take Jermaine Johnson at 15 if he even makes it to us. TE could probably wait, a 2nd round TE I would expect to be a #1. I would pick a LB sooner also, not that I’m holding my breath that Howie will… hoping for more of a sideline to sideline MLB. Tindall might be it, would like to see Muma or Harris… I like the 2 safeties.

Would definitely be happy if this was the result at the end of the draft. Thanks for sharing!

One other thing:
