What he was doing was already illegal and he was convicted. Not sure the comparison makes all that much sense.

It makes all the sense in the world. Make prostitution legal and allow women who want to engage in the business to do so, just like producers that aren't abusing women are free to make movies.

Prosecute the human traffickers who force women into the business the same way we did Weinstein. But allow those who freely choose to participate to do so.

That doesn't prevent guys like Weinstein from taking advantage of women who want to be Hollywood stars so again, not sure I understand the correlation.

The point was just because Weinstein is human scum, we didn't outlaw the entire movie business. We prosecuted the criminal. 

Just because some women are trafficked isn't a justification for denying the rights of those that would freely choose to participate. Focus on prosecuting the criminals.

And again, I find prostitution, strippers, etc repulsive personally. Doesn't change my views on how the laws should be written 

or you guys could just get some game & not have to pay for it like a bunch of freaks.

Assuming prostitution was legal for a moment, a person "taking advantage" would also be prosecuted, the entire industry wouldn't just be made illegal, right?

That's the thing, he really wasn't (he did not age well, however).  He basically didn't know how to act (and drank way too much, even by frat standards).  Within 15 minutes, girls around him would be like "nope"

I dunno. In a service industry the workers are the commodity, no? Or at least they are the product.

 

Also, this entire thread has been "women women women". The sex industry also employs male prostitutes, porn stars and strippers, I assume the only difference is they  get paid less.
