Just admit it...you're soft AF and cry about anything that is pushed by a Repub....You and the rest of the cult politicize everything!!!!.Crying about it being dark at 8 am and then crying about how soft others are? You're a 5 foot child. Cry about Florida....now this. Anything else? Lol, wow, you're ridiculous. I literally had no idea who sponsored the bill and didn't even care. This stance literally has nothing to do with politics, but here you are making it one, Mr. Projector. You literally are everything you accuse others of. Oh, you should go back and catch up on the Ukraine thread. We had a good time trashing Florida for a little while yesterday like the $hithole state it is. But go on, cry some more about other people "crying." It's hilarious.

Yeah I never minded leaving for work in the dark. Having as much "daytime" after work as possible is definitely a bigger plus than it being light out early in the morning.

Why do you care about it being dark in the morning anyway? Doesn't the Dollar Store open late morning? I think the current system is logical and works just fine. The shift puts most of the daylight during the workday, so it means you generally get to wake up with the sunrise during the shortest days of the year, and then when the days have gotten longer, it keeps it that way, so you're not still sleeping long after the sun is still out. It maximizes the amount of daylight during the times we're most active. It actually makes a lot of sense from the standpoint of productivity. If anything, my resistance to change here would be characterized as conservative, not liberal.

I could say the same about Mr "Both Sides", who also as an extremely strong opinion on this largely irrelevant bill just because a republican sponsored it?
March 16, 20223 yr I am all for it being light later into the evening and getting light later in the morning. More time to get stuff done outside after work, more time for kids to play after school, and I don’t have to get up as early to be in the woods before daybreak when hunting. Win-win-win.

March 16, 20223 yr I prefer the extra hour of sunlight at the end of the day. I am in favor. I wonder how much productivity is lost due to the time change twice a year? Want me to save energy? Then give me an extra hour before all the lights get turned on inside my house as we settle in for the evening. Sunlight in the morning? Doesn't matter. We're just rushing to get out for the day.

From an energy saving perspective, the advent of LED lighting might have tilted the scales ever so lightly to favor time shifts to less daylight now but I'm assuming the effect is marginal.

This change means that I'll be at work before sunrise for almost 6 months straight of the year (from October 1st to March 25th). I actually look forward to coming back from daylight savings because I get a few weeks where the sun is up before I leave for work, and hate when we go to daylight savings because I've had a few weeks of getting to work after the sun is up and now am back to driving in to work when it is completely dark. meh, you annoy me hitler

March 16, 20223 yr I have always had a problem waking up in the dark. Earlier sunrise time is better for my temperament. Like before 7am. Of course on the long summer days I have cursed the early sunrises as well! Suppose I will be OK with either way. The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older, shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

The power company notices the shift in seasons... I can see the change in my electric bill! But yeah, since we shifted to LEDs the change is not as drastic. 13 minutes ago, DiPros said: The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older, shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

It's usually just one day where I wake up slightly confused that it feels later/earlier than it should. Otherwise, I'm back on track within a day or two. These people that whine for a whole week about the time change either have some kind of underlying sleep dysfunction or just don't know how to regulate their sleep at all. This is my turn to wring my fists about how "soft" we've gotten as a society. but arent you doing just that ?

March 16, 20223 yr Don't worry, there are literally hundreds of morons in the House to screw it up. Personally, I wish they would change it 1/2 hour back from now, and leave it there.
March 16, 20223 yr I'd be perfectly fine if we went back to how it was when I was a kid and we changed the clocks in early October and April. Fight me!!!!
