who have the Eagles lost from last season?   As I understand it, the Eagles had a very high percentage of their players last year signed for this year.

Additionally,  3 first round draft picks and a bunch of other draft picks.

I don't think they get rid of Reagor.  I would like to see him get fewer snaps if he doesn't get better.

Who’s talking about losing? I’m talking about gaining, because Howie talked about gaining. Bottom line is they need more talent, but all they’re doing is bringing back the same players.

Remember when people said they're going to build around Hurts? I guess we'll see in the draft.

Blunt was the sheeeeaught. Miss having a back like that.

That’s what Howie said, but that’s hardly been the case. Like you said we will see at the draft.

Eagles do most of their FA action typically after the initial rush of the first week.  Still a lot of additions to the team to come through mid tier and bargain bin signings and those 3 first round picks.

Pretty much my point here though. The Eagles probably would have moved on one of these offensive players to help out Hurts. They’re basically just resigning their own guys and aren’t brining in anyone else. I would’ve liked to have seen the at least replaced Reagor, but so far nothing.

Most are only for 1 year. Make it or break it year for Hurts. They are building a core to multiple years. They will somehow trade for 1st next year and move from Hurts if don't work.

Well so far (early days I know) he's done nothing to help his QB. And given they still need to go defense heavy that still needs to be the way in the draft. Says to me that this team are not in on Hurts at all.

No real surprise that Wilson and Watson wouldn’t waive their NTCs to come here considering everything. The Eagles acting like they can’t afford to play ball with  a quarterback making less than 2 mil so how in the world could they improve the team with a quarterback making 35-45 mil?

I was hope at the minimum they would have picked up at least one receiver. There’s still a chance I guess.

Yeah I mean I don't blame them. Ultimately they know that Howie will not be able to surround them with talent.

That’s the ironic part around here too. I witnessed many people on this site cry for years that Howie didn’t put enough talent around the old quarterback and now they’re acting like this offense is stacked, but the quarterback is holding them back. Don’t get me wrong, because I believe Hurts needs to improve, but so does the talent around him.

I'm not a fan at all, but legit Hurts atm has a legit #2 wideout, a good #4 wideout type, a great tight end, and a running game which is more about the line than RBs...the kid needs a little more out there. I don't think Watkins is a starter, and I think Smith definitely needs a bigger brother in the field

Absolutely. They have a really really good TE but nothing behind him. They have a really good #1 WR and a very good #3 but nothing beyond that. Right now they have a very good #1 RB but a guy who's missed a lot of time. Their offensive line is one of the best in the NFL but their C is an older player and their RT will be another year older. Its still legit but it'll need rebuilding over time.

Improvement needs to be had. Reagor shouldn’t be out there.

I'm not against the move, but it's hard to get excited about another year of getting the band back together to play all the old hits, eventually you want to hear something new, I was content with Sanders, Gainwell and picking up a bruiser in the draft.

I'm a bit surprised Scott doesn't have a bit more ambition than being Sanders change of pace for another year to be honest.

Or maybe those receivers were being held back by garbage QB play? Except Reagor, he does just suck.

Scott is kind of a weird case for me. I kind of take him for granted as a JAG but every time Sanders gets hurt and he gets opportunities he produces. They got him on the cheap so it's a decent move. I'm still hoping they take someone like Robinson, Allgeier, Ford, or White in the 4th/5th round.

Especially against the Vagiants.

I think there is a mixture of both (accept Reagor). Another true starter we all can agree on is needed. I don't look at our RB room and feel they need to be feared. The running game, yes...but RBs...no considering the QB is the main runner (though I don't think by design). Tight end...we need a second with this scheme. I have far more faith in Nick atm to scheme than Hurts to run a standard NFL offense

I think Smith is a solid #1 with better QB play and with a better #2 on the other side. Quez is a solid third option. Reagor should be relegated to filling the Gatorade bottles.

I see him as a high level 2 and see quez as a great 4th option. When I say 2 and 4, I'm speaking options. Tight end 1, Smith 2, wr 3, quez 4, RB 5

I hate to be negative but Goedert wasn't the same guy after Ertz was traded.

He has to live up to the hype now that he's the main guy.

I think it's time to draft a RB in the 2nd or 3rd round again. Sanders is too brittle and coming up on a contract year. KWIII or Breece Hall please.

Which other Eagles #1 WRs in the last 20 years do you think is better than him? (besides TO obviously) Just curious.

Question is do you think the eagles have had a legit #1 in the last 20 years not named TO? A #1 on the eagles isn't looked at as a true #1 in the league. I have him to Jackson and maclins levels at the moment a low low one, or a high two. They definitely weren't top 20, and neither is Smith atm. He has higher potential than those two, but I'd say he is below Jackson and above maclin atm
