March 22, 20223 yr Is Kap hoping to play in the XFL? Perhaps that's why he's working with Reagor as they may end up playing together...

He crosses the white on game day and then not much of anything happens. Maybe, just maybe him working with kaepernick will make him understand that he’s meant to catch the ball.

If he were the Eagles QB they win the NFC East and will be serious contenders in the playoffs, dude has a strong arm, very mobile and more accurate than most are giving him credit for It has to be taken into consideration that he didn't have a talented offense in SF, his primary receivers were Michael Crabtree, Anquan Bolden and Vernon Davis, his running game was an old Frank Gore. Moreover, after Harbaugh left you need to forget about those years........it's a shame and a scandal how the NFL has treated him

When he began doing all the other stuff, he became a distraction to his team. That was more important to him than winning games. That should not be the focus of a "team" leader. He was very divisive, which is the opposite of leadership. Stop crying over the dude. He chose his path and was then rewarded with $100M settlement from the NFL for doing nothing. Yeah ... I'm crying for the poor dude.

March 23, 20223 yr Eagles couldn’t get into the Hill sweepstakes? I’m sure Howie wanted him too so I guess it counts. Edit: Never mind good Lord the Dolphins gave up a lot for him

Can’t believe how their contracts just have ballooned to what they’re are now. Of course it would help if we had a GM capable of drafting wide receivers though.

Maybe his antics did distract the team and him also, but I wouldn't go as far to say it was more important to him than winning games. As far a divisive goes, he may have divided America, as race issues usually does, White America has a tendency to stick their heads when the topic is raised hoping it'll go away. One thing I saw was most of his team mates kneeling with him so I don't think he divided the team. Personally I don't see a problem with focusing on racial injustice as well as your profession, one can lead in more areas than one, I mean don't you lead in your profession as well as in your home life if you're married with children. But back to the point I was making, Colin Kaepernick is a damn good QB and anything to the contrary is BS.
March 23, 20223 yr Yeah, he sure was great Quote Colin Kaepernick sets NFL record for quarterback futility in loss to Bears Colin Kaepernick might want to rethink that whole opting-out-of-his-contract thing. The 49ers quarterback, who had been playing well since taking over from Blaine Gabbert in Week 6, found himself back on the bench Sunday after setting an NFL record for quarterbacking futility. In a 26-6 loss to the Bears, Kaepernick became the first QB in league history to be sacked five times and throw for fewer than five yards in a game. In addition, Kaepernick and Gabbert combined for negative-six net passing yards, including yardage lost on sacks, for the 49ers’ lowest mark in that category since 1963 (per ESPN Stats & Information). In wet, snowy conditions in Chicago which made throwing the ball difficult for both teams — well, that and the fact that the quarterbacks involved also included the Bears’ Matt Barkley — Kaepernick attempted five passes, completing just one for four yards, before being replaced by Gabbert in the fourth quarter with the 49ers down by 18. Gabbert fared little better, completing 4 of 10 passes for 35 yards while also getting sacked in the end zone for a safety. Kaepernick couldn’t even get anything going with his legs, carrying the ball six times for just 20 yards, this after racking up 113 yards on the ground the week before. He entered the game second among NFL quarterbacks in rushing yardage, with 373, despite not having played until Week 6. "It wasn’t something I was expecting,” Kaepernick said afterward about his benching (via ESPN). He added: "This coaching staff didn’t feel like I was out there being able to help this team win, so they made a change, whether I agree with that or not.” Though his first six starts had all ended in losses, Kaepernick had looked like a good match for Coach Chip Kelly’s scheme and conjured up memories of 2014, the last time he was an effective quarterback. Thus reports that he was going to opt out of his contract after this season but likely re-sign with the 49ers seemed to make sense. That could still happen, and it would represent quite a turnaround from early in the offseason, when it appeared as if Kaepernick’s sizable contract was the only thing keeping San Francisco from cutting him or trading him. But he had played well, arguably all the more so considering the national scrutiny of his political comments and actions, until an ugly turnaround in Chicago that handed the quarterback an unwanted chapter in the NFL record book.

But back to the point I was making, Colin Kaepernick is a damn good QB and anything to the contrary is BS. Kaepernick started out as an exciting young QB on the rise. Like many young QBs, early success gave way to struggles as teams gained film on him and exposed his flaws. He steadily declined and was never a guy that could carry a team. He simply wasn't as good as people expected him to become. I'm all for people dedicating their own time to whatever cause they see fit, but that doesn't have to carry over on to the field. When it's time to play football, play football. When it's time to be part of a team or organization, do your part. The whole protest involving the national anthem was designed to be controversial. Professional football is not an international sport, it's an American sport. He knew darn well that choosing to make a scene with the national anthem would get him all the attention in the world. His attentionwhoring didn't turn fans against each other, it turned fans against him. He chose to break protocol during the anthem. He chose to break uniform code, by wearing socks with cops depicted as pigs. He decided to do that while representing his team / employer at work. Other potential employers heard the fans and stayed away. This was all on him --- and let's not pretend he wasn't some privileged kid growing up despite what he would like people to believe. You saw other players like M. Jenkins actually trying to do something other than "raise awareness." Back to the football player. He simply didn't grow as a player. He became less humble after early success. He started kissing his biceps while his team lost games. Had none of the other stuff ever happened, I believe he'd still be in the NFL, but most likely as some team's QB2. In a way, he's kind of like Tebow. Tebow wanted to be a QB or nothing in the NFL. Kap wants a starting spot, but most teams don't see him as a QB1 after his stint with the 49ers. He definitely wasn't worth the contract he opted out of.

I never commented on his on field antics but I agree they surely weren't wise. I simply commented on him as a player and I believe he's learned a lesson by his antics and would return to that exciting QB given the chance. You're entitled to your opinion on him along with the idea that "teams gained film on him and exposed his flaws" but I'm not buying any of it. Lastly, highlighted in your reply is outrageously crazy.

March 25, 20223 yr Kap declined and lost the ability to be an NFL QB. Once upon a time, he was exciting, then quickly lost that. Anyone who disagree's with that has an ulterior motive as to why they keep defending him. That's fine if you want to to not face reality. I kind of like sticking to the truth.

What does any of this have to do with anything? Reagor and Ward need all the help they can get. Going to a WR camp with a former NFL QB and a bunch of guys from Texas has ZERO to do with any political agenda. It's just football. Why do we insist on making it so much more? It's a freakin' offseason workout. Who cares?

As much as people already hate Reagor, you would expect him to be sitting at home making youtube videos about music. It's good that he's working on his game. If he puts things together he can make a lot of money doing something most people only dream about.
