I want a pick up, but absolutely do not need one at all. So it's hard to justify spending spending a ton of money on one. These seem priced pretty good for the casual truck user. You can’t order any right now and good luck finding one to drive and buy. Be prepared to pay a heavy mark up for the hybrid version if you find one available.

They did tell us back in February it would be 6-9 months. So if it’s just the tail end of the range I’ll be happy. But I honestly expect more like 12 (In some ways, it’s helpful of that happens. A few extra months of one car payment and insurance) Just please don’t get canceled.

If I couldn't find one I'd get the regular (2.5 I think?) powertrain. Again, we could easily get by owning a single car anyway. It would just be an occasion annoyance.
April 2, 20223 yr I just went to Ford and checked their inventory, and it's showing 0 near me lol. I know I saw at least 4 or so last week, out of 6 or 7 total cars. Maybe tomorrow I willl swing by and check again. Either those trucks are not listed in their system for some reason, or they were bought. In which case you are right and I'll probably have to wait or choose something else. I'm in no hurry either way.

You watch sports instead of doing something else, they get mad. Sorry, but men shouldn't have to have a car to get a woman, especially if they can't afford it. You sound like the perfect guy for Shania Twain

I remember trading a quarter and one of those bubblegum machine NFL helmets (Chargers, I think), for a '57 Chevy Hot Wheels when I was probably 6 or 7. EDIT: Maybe 8 or 9, since it was first produced in 1977:

They had a red one on order and traded it to another dealership for the one she wanted. Selling new cars sounds like a pain in the ass right now.

They could have been orders waiting for people to pick up and they put them on display trying to lure people in. the 2.5 is the hybrid. The 2.0 4cylinder is the gas engine.

I may check tomorrow if they still are, I have to go by there anyway. And if so I may stop in during the week and talk to someone about them. About to clear a couple hundred Gs selling a property. Damn, the NJ real-estate market is just plain broken. In a good way for me right now, but it still makes me shake my head.

My 45-50mph casual drive from home to Costco and back last Wednesday (no A/C) depleted my entire battery at exactly 9.0mi on the trip odometer. I've generically given myself about a 12-13mi estimated range for local (non-highway) driving, but appears even that was off. The 4-5mi drive to work in the cold during winter also basically depletes my battery. Still managed to average around 53mpg for close to 3 years, and dealt with the reduced trunk space. the X5 is only advertised as 31mi EV range but on full charge during lunch it was estimating a 37mi range, drove 8.2mi and am at a 25mi listed range remaining. I will try to average 100mpg with this one!
July 29, 20241 yr 1st but take away a little more of the paint, the rims..... current: lot of years, and lot of miles. I may have already posted these in this thread but this is Maggee Deux's last summer (above 2007 Ford Exploder Ironman XLT). Really, really, really going to miss her.

I paid it off, so it's awesome not having a payment, but I kind of want to trade it in while it's still worth something. GMC is the next truck I get. Our entire maintenance department owns them and swears by them.
