Now the funny thing is, I found out the hard way that I have a bigger gas tank. My 2005, also a 5.7, has a 25 gallon tank, and it’d cost me around $80 (give or take) to fill it. The first time I filled this one, I wasn’t watching the pump, and when it finished, it was $102 and it took 27 gallons. I realized then it has a 32 gallon tank lol. I think it averages between 14-15 mpg.

The one I got was both in the price range I was going for, and it also has the Ram Box. It does make the bed a bit narrower, but it’s got a great place to store tools and other stuff I like to carry and don’t have to fill my back seat anymore. Plus, if I do need to actually haul something, I still have the 05 which has a normal size bed.

I mean, my 1500 5.7 hemi gets 21 on the highway and 18 around town. Also, I think the dumbest thing ram did was get rid of any v8 in the 1500s starting next year. I've had 3 rams but that might make me go ford or GMC for my next one

My buddy had one as his first car in HS. He and his dad built it so it was ready to go after he got his license. He put a mildly built 350 in it and made it into a fake SS (out the badges on and a v8 but was originally a RS). He used to tear through junkyard Saginaw 4-speeds every few months in it. We had so many great times in that car and he recently found it sitting in a driveway within a few miles of his house. I’m trying to convince him to stop and see if it is for sale but he won’t do it… something about having a kid in college and another ready to graduate and needing his money for food or something…

Wow, I didn’t realize how similar some of the body lines are between the two… guess I was just looking for a little nostalgia.

Park the two next to each other and one is built like an edge rusher and the other a punter. The non Nova is a small sedan built up a little to look muscle.
August 12, 20241 yr One clue for you younger lads...... Dodge recently revived this name...... But the car pictured is not a dodge.

Interesting note to piggy back off this comment, but the trucks that Alpha and I have shown in here in the last week or so, also aren’t Dodges. In 2009, Dodge and Ram separated. I don’t know the politics behind it, but our trucks are just…Rams. Ram is officially the make of the truck now. Found that out shortly after I got it. It helped make sense of some confusing situations.
