Would you rather have to: 30 days of being a vegan or eat 3 meals of McDonald's a day for 30 days?

Have to make sure animal labor was not used to grow those potatoes.... Or that isn't vegan either.

I've seen that BS lol. Like I said, I think I can do almost anything for a month. Longer than that and I'd probably change my mind.

I probably could too but, damn

Then I'd just deal with the side effects and ease back I to my normal diet. Still better than eating literal ish. I say that having no problem eating a few meals here and there that are not healthy but taste really good. McDonald's tastes like puke AND is horrible for you.

I also think eating only McDonald's for 30 days would have side effects as bad or worse than eating some dairy after going 30 days without.

mcdonalds 5 years ago, yes. but theyre not as bad as they used to be. i feel like they get a bad rap for being the literal name of fast food. im not saying their menu is healthy, but theres enough stuff on there that you can have a little variety and not eat literal sheet food if you had to for a month. and i dont eat fast food too much, only if im in a hurry or drunk. im also not saying it would be good for you in any sense of the word, but i dont think itd be as bad as youre making out to be.

Nothing but McDonald's for 30 days? Breakfast lunch and dinner? I think I'm probably not stating how bad it would be enough. I certainly feel it would cause more issues than easing back into dairy after not having it for a month.

Didn't they make a movie about this?   Some dude ate it for a month straight.

Yeah. He was in pretty bad shape at the end. But he also overdid it, was eating like 5000 calories a day.

I've seen younger, very fit guys recreate it, while at the same time spending 2 hours in the gym daily and whatnot. They faired better and didn't suffer like the guy who made the movie did.

But I'll be 45 next month, I'd rather take my chances with the veggies and maybe get some lactose ishes for a few weeks after resuming my normal diet lol.

Super Size Me.

I watched Super High Me by mistake.  After 30 days he couldn't do math and gained 8 pounds, but his verbal SAT scores went up as well as his sperm count.

Yeah but, it also turns out that the dude that did that was also an alcoholic and that was mostly a scam.

Either way. I'll bet on veggies being healthier than McDonald's and be right 10 times out of 10. And I already think Mcd's tastes like dog ish so I'm not losing there either.

They have veggies there! Lol. I'm guilty of loving their breakfast so I can't talk lol.

I don't remember the last time I ate their breakfast, but I remember not liking it lol. Over the past few years I've probably had lunch or dinner from them maybe twice, only because the kids wanted it and I was pressed for time or whatever. Typically I will get them it for lunch here and there, or if my wife and I are going out to dinner ourselves I'll throw a bag of nuggets through the front door and jump in the car.

Wait, I think I just lied. Their pancakes are a bit sweet, right? I think those tasted ok.

I don't eat it anywhere as much as I used too. Maybe once or twice a month on a day off I'll go grab their breakfast sandwiches and hash browns.

I really don't mess with fast food anymore in general, I still eat like sheet but at least it's stuff I make at home lol.

You might be thinking of the mcgriddles, it's there breakfast sandwiches and the bun is basically pancakes with syrup baked (microwaved lol)  inside

I was always the guy who brought his food to work. My leftovers are always going to beat take out and or cafeteria food.

For a little while when I was on second shift (20+ years ago) we would order Chinese food on Fridays.

I was raised on crap food unfortunately... Probably why only one member of my family made it past 70 lol.

Today is my dad's birthday he is 67 and wanted a large cheesesteak from the local pizza joint, loaded with cheese and onions lol.

I grocery shop for my parents every other week and ground beef ( 2lbs) and cooper sharp cheese ( 2lbs) and chips is on the list every single time lol.

I'm not saying a big Mac and fries for every meal. I'd probably end up taking it easier and just getting a chicken sandwich or fish sandwich for most meals.

But I get that you don't like the taste of it, so that makes it a no brainer for you. I just don't think it would be that bad and probably easier for someone with an already less than healthy diet. It's probably better for you than the ramen beer ánd hot dog diet I was on in my 20s when I moved into my first apartment

When I was in my late teen years, before I knew a lot about diet and working out, I used to go to the gym and then eat 3 triple cheeseburgers every day because I was pretty skinny lol. Cheap for a lot of calories. But the burgers definitely tasted better back then and I didn't know ish and had the invincible young guy thing going.

Yeah for me it's a no brainer. I know I can make veggies that taste a lot better than that swill lol. I also don't require nearly as many calories to go about my day as I used to when I was young. I'd probably have to eat veggie protein shakes before and after playing ball and cut way back on exercise for a month

This question is imbalanced which makes vegan win. There are tons of McDonald’s menu items I would never want to it. The fact that this forces you to have them all at some point ruins is. The vegan side isn’t forcing people to eat tofu or hummus or impossible meat or drink some weird almond or oat milk.

I could have things like Thai curry (sans meat) or deep fried cauliflower with franks red hot on a regular basis. Stuff I enjoy >>>> than anything at McDonald’s, and still have countless other things I could eat. But the McDonald option becomes repetitive quick (which I can do with vegan options that i enjoy more) and McDonald’s options forces disgusting stuff into my meals. Vegan easily wins.

Seems like you all missed a major point.  I'd go McDonalds all the way, BUT, McDonalds doesn't serve booze.  Could I drink something that wasn't on the menu after my last meal of the day?

Yeah. Water. And your body would probably need all the water it could get eating that filth for a month.

  • 2 weeks later...

30 days of vegan.

On day 31:
