Posted March 26, 20223 yr How much will Zach Pascal make with the Eagles? Earlier this week, the Eagles signed Nick Sirianni’s favorite receiver Zach Pascal to a one-year deal. Now we know how much he’s going to make. Pascal, 27, signed a one-year deal worth $1.5 million guaranteed, according to a league source. Here’s the full breakdown of his contract: Full value: $1.5 million guaranteed Signing bonus: $465K Base salary: $1.035 million Incentives: Up to $1 million Pascal’s base salary in 2022 is fully guaranteed and he can earn up to another $1 million in incentives if he meets individual and team benchmarks. But Pascal’s base salary of $1.035 million is the league minimum for a player with his level of service. So this is a pretty cheap deal for a signing that isn’t a splash player but does make the Eagles better. To put this into perspective, according to OverTheCap, there are 84 receivers in the NFL who have a higher average per year than $1.5 million. Pascal might be limited but he is at least a functional player. He has had over 600 receiving yards twice in his NFL career, although it’s probably safe to say his ceiling isn’t much higher than that. While this wasn’t the signing Eagles fans wanted and this move alone doesn’t solve their problems at the position, for the money, it’s fine. The Eagles are paying Pascal like the depth receiver/blocking receiver he should be in their offense. And if it costs $1.5 million to add a veteran to the room that Sirianni trusts, that’s not the worst allocation of money. Pascal played for Nick Sirianni in Indianapolis and worked his way up from an undrafted player to putting up solid numbers during his first four years in the NFL. To be very clear, I think the Eagles still need to add to the position. But at least the money doesn’t show they think more of Pascal than they should just because he’s a Sirianni favorite. Then again, none of the Eagles’ receivers are getting paid very much. Their most expensive wideout is Smith on his rookie contract. Here’s a look at cap hits for the Eagles’ receivers in 2022: DeVonta Smith: $4.58 million Jalen Reagor: $3.62 million J.J. Arcega-Whiteside: $1.78 million Zach Pascal: $1.5 million Greg Ward: $1 million Quez Watkins: $937K John Hightower: $830K Deon Cain: $825K https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/nfl-free-agency-2022-details-zach-pascals-contract-eagles
