I mentioned that.  That was I wrote I would also do, re-creating the helmets and uniform used from 1969-'73.

I would also do white helmet (green wings) with the Kelly Greens as done from 1969-'73.

To my perspective this is great news, though I get the Kelly green isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and/ or many don’t have the same emotional attachment to it.  Really hope they figure out a silver pants combo with the Kelly green jersey and helmet, though, even if that can’t be immediately done for whatever reason…

I'm one to not care so much about the shade of green. I do wish however, they would bring the silver back into it and change that stupid logo I can't stand that stupid dull eagles head. I have barely bought any eagles stuff since they changed the logo, obviously the color changed with it but, it's the logo that I hate more then the color.

Lurie wanted to all along whenever he could also do the helmet, rather than have the current Midnight green helmet which would look dumb.  He wanted to honor it and do the full look.  The league only just voted on it, and Nike can't do it this season.  So Lurie is taking advantage of the new rule to get a black helmet to go with the black uniforms this season, and use the kelly green in 2023.

I recommend just watching the Lurie PC. A lot of other interesting topics are discussed beyond new uniforms and helmets. Lots of insight into the teams thought processes if you choose to believe it.

I chose not to listen to anything they say to the Media. 

As long as it’s not those bright green ones they brought back and stay true to the original Kelly green I’ll be ok with it. The ones they tried to bring back as an alternate before just wasn’t the same

I fully get that it's those mid/late 80's that everyone wants and I'm 100% fine with that, I loved those uniforms. But at the same time, I'd also love to see those late 70's to early 80's jerseys, IF they would do the stripes correctly (which, I know that they wouldn't). 

I'd be ok with the modern wings on the helmet but I'd like to see the old spread wings eagle on the jersey.

Lurie hit everyone up 😂. Between everyone’s happiness for these old green uniforms he told you he’s bringing back Howie, Hurts, his son is getting more power, while poorly trying to hide the fact he’s flexing his own power muscle. But at least we got those uniforms. 😂 The Eagles this year have got everyone gushing over basic moves. Brining back their own players like they made these large free agent splashes. Brining back old uniforms while they tell you a bunch of stuff you don’t want to hear. The Eagles have the best PR department in the city.

I can take or leave Kelly Green if I'm honest it was always a kind of a movement to bring back a shade of green that when you see it in the flesh always looks a bit **** than you remember as a kid, but Jesus God save us from a bring back silver pants movement, the silver pants were tacky looking ish in the 80's and that was the era style forgot.

You just reminded me of something. 

The Saturday before Super Bowl LII, I had to go into a True Value hardware store for some doorbell wire to re-wire my doorbell. It's a small location in Virginia Beach (near the courthouse), almost an old time "mom and pops" feel. I decided to wear my old Kelly Green heavy coat, which I hadn't worn in many years. 

As I walked in, there was an Eagles family milling around (a mother, father and young son). The boy, probably 8 or 9, says to his mother... "Mom, look at what he's wearing!?", his mother glances and had to explain that I was wearing an old school coat of the Eagles old colors and logo. He thought it was really cool.  

Are the god-awful black jerseys getting replaced by the kelly green ones next year? I'd call that a win-win.
