FORMER EAGLES’ SUPER BOWL CHAMPION SET TO RETIRE AFTER 13 SEASONS

One of the best free-agent signings in Eagles history is calling it a career.

Former Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins has announced on The Pivot Podcast that he’s retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons.

Jenkins joined the Eagles in 2014, spending six seasons with the team while becoming a prominent leader in both the locker room and the Philadelphia community. He didn’t miss a single game as an Eagle; in fact he played every single snap in all but one season.

An integral part of the Eagles’ championship run in 2017, Jenkins ends his career as a two-time Super Bowl champion and three-time Pro Bowler. He’ll undoubtedly always be remembered for knocking Brandin Cooks out of Super Bowl 52 en route to securing Philly’s first ring in franchise history.

Jenkins recorded 1,044 tackles, 21 INTs (7 for TDs), 13.5 sacks, and 20 forced fumbles over his illustrious career.
