This Thai lady was once a man and Thailand doesn't allow for a gender change in their passport so her passport gender said "male". So, she was detained in Dubai for nine hours, interrogated, etc. and then barred from entry. Guess she should have done some homework before trying to travel to Dubai.

Dubai is a big layover spot for Thailand from the East US/Europe. Having spent a month there that can't possibly be the first trans person that has come through there. Place is full of em.
