It would be interesting to see how long this was going on.

It took this to bring it to light?

The plot by the two individuals began to come into question when a United States Postal Inspector arrived at their apartment complex to investigate an alleged assault which involved a United States Postal Service carrier, according to prosecutors.

Wild story. Two men posed as DHS agents, were able to coerce 4 members of the Secret Service into taking gifts, bribes. LINK

An affidavit filed Wednesday night in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. revealed that one of the Secret Service agents involved in the bribery scheme was a special agent assigned to First Lady Jill Biden’s protective detail. Another was a Uniformed Division officer at the White House.

RealClearPolitics has learned that another Secret Service special agent involved in the alleged bribery is assigned to President Biden’s detail, those agents who accompany the president nearly everywhere he goes and stand by his side during the most sensitive of discussions and private moments. A second Uniformed Division officer caught up in the bizarre scheme was assigned to protect Vice President Harris’s residence, according to sources familiar with the matter.

What were these guys up to? Espionage? Who is paying them off?

I have no doubt about the espionage. The one had Palestinian papers and had apparently traveled to Iran.

This is the one that got caught. How many are still up and running.

This story is meh. They are now caught. Good news.

I wonder how they got here? Probably snuck across the southern border at night, hiding in bushes, right?

Hiding as bushes. Get your illegal border crossing game up, kid.

Or is it just the tip of a larger iceberg? Honest and deep investigations need to be conducted to make sure that there aren't any other situations lurking out there (which I wouldn't be shocked if there are).

This goes beyond politics, so it's not a 'left vs. right' thing. Both sides need to start demanding answers.

What if there's terrorists that control secret service agents? That's bad on all levels, but not just on the protective services side. Also on the currency side. It doesn't matter what someone wants, this warrants an investigation. If there's a 'they' out there, then 'they' need to be exposed and prosecuted along with those infiltrating.

Notice in the article that an investigation has already commenced, but they've released no information.  This could be in order to prevent double agents who still may be under cover from making any sudden moves, or it could be to provoke them into revealing themselves.  Or, what if the people who leaked this very story to the press are the double agents themselves, they made this whole thing up, and their expected reaction is for the public to overreact and create a cloud of publicity they can work more sneakily under?

As I understand, they are American nationals. So they probably got here like everyone else: flew into Dulles or Reagan,  or some airport somewhere, and lived around us for years without anyone noticing.

It seems like there was more cover when the public isn’t notified there are foreign agents at work.
I feel there are double agents working in Washington all the time. The authorities know about them (or maybe they don’t know all of them). Theyre monitored and let to live freely, unless there is good reason to have them detained. If they’re corrupting Secret Service, that’s a good reason to go out and get them.

I can't really be expected to think like an Iranian terrorists Mexican, can I?

Apparently one of the agents was attached to Biden's detail.

Well, somebody has to change Uncle Joe's depends.
