ATLANTA (AP) — A pastor, political operative and former high-ranking Atlanta city official was sentenced Thursday to 14 years in prison after a jury found her guilty of charges stemming from a long-running federal investigation into corruption at City Hall.

Bickers, 56, was the first person to go to trial in the investigation into corruption during the administration of former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed. She helped Reed win election and then worked as his director of human services for several years. Prosecutors said she used her influence to funnel roughly $17 million in business to city contractors Elvin "E.R.” Mitchell Jr. and Charles P. Richards Jr. in exchange for more than $2.9 million in bribes for herself and others.

Street shootings too. With a little help from gangsta rap, of course.

Kids are impressionable, in case you haven't noticed. Especially stupid ones.

3 men convicted of supporting plot to kidnap Gov. Whitmer

Three men accused of supporting a plot to kidnap Michigan’s governor were convicted of all charges Wednesday, a triumph for state prosecutors after months of mixed results in the main case in federal court.

Joe Morrison, his father-in-law Pete Musico, and Paul Bellar were found guilty of providing "material support” for a terrorist act as members of a paramilitary group, the Wolverine Watchmen.

They held gun drills in rural Jackson County with a leader of the scheme, Adam Fox, who was disgusted with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and other officials in 2020 and said he wanted to kidnap her.

Jurors read and heard violent, anti-government screeds as well as support for the "boogaloo,” a civil war that might be triggered by a shocking abduction. Prosecutors said COVID-19 restrictions ordered by Whitmer turned out to be fruit to recruit more people to the Watchmen.

"The facts drip out slowly,” state Assistant Attorney General Bill Rollstin told jurors in Jackson, Michigan, "and you begin to see — wow — there were things that happened that people knew about. ... When you see how close Adam Fox got to the governor, you can see how a very bad event was thwarted.”

Morrison, 28, Musico, 44, and Bellar, 24, were also convicted of a gun crime and membership in a gang. Prosecutors said the Wolverine Watchmen was a criminal enterprise.

Morrison, who recently tested positive for COVID-19, and Musico watched the verdict by video away from the courtroom. Judge Thomas Wilson ordered all three to jail while they await sentencing scheduled for Dec. 15.

Defense attorneys argued that the three men had broken ties with Fox by late summer 2020 when the Whitmer plot came into focus. Unlike Fox and others, they didn’t travel to northern Michigan to scout the governor’s vacation home or participate in a key weekend training session inside a "shoot house.”

"In this country, you are allowed to talk the talk but you only get convicted if you walk the walk,” Musico’s attorney, Kareem Johnson, said in his closing remarks.

Defense lawyers couldn’t argue entrapment. But they attacked the tactics of Dan Chappel, an Army veteran and undercover informant. He took instructions from FBI agents, secretly recorded conversations and produced a deep cache of messages exchanged with the men.

Whitmer, a Democrat running for reelection on Nov. 8, was never physically harmed. Undercover agents and informants were inside Fox’s group for months. The scheme was broken up with 14 arrests in October 2020.

Fox and Barry Croft Jr. were convicted of a kidnapping conspiracy in federal court in August. Daniel Harris and Brandon Caserta were acquitted last spring. Ty Garbin and Kaleb Franks pleaded guilty.

The GOP Poster Child for Dems. Funny though, she's not to big with Dems outside her District or in the Party as a whole. But Trumpers believe she controls the whole thing.

Deputies: Florida man stomped on pregnant woman in Publix parking lot, left her covered in blood

LARGO, Fla. —

A Largo man was arrested Saturday after deputies said he brutally attacked the mother of his unborn child Saturday evening.

Pinellas County deputies said at around 5:17 p.m., Cole Joseph Danisment, 27, of Largo got angry with the victim at a Publix parking lot and began punching her in the face several times.

The victim ended up falling to the ground — at which point Danisment began stomping on the woman’s head and upper body, according to the arrest report.

The report said a witness who saw the attack said it was "so brutal in nature” that he feared that the victim would die. Danisment only stopped attacking the victim after the witness pulled a gun on him.

Deputies said the attack left the woman "covered in large amounts of blood” and a possibly broken nose.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, the victim and Danisment had been dating for a year and lived together for around a month.

However, the suspect was put under a no-contact order after being arrested on a domestic battery against the victim on Oct. 11. Deputies said he showed a pattern of violence toward the woman regardless of the order.

The report said Danisment did not deny the attack but said that he "saw red” and blacked out.

According to deputies, the victim had been 14 weeks pregnant with Danisment’s child. He said she told him about the pregnancy "a couple of weeks ago.”

Duh!

As previously reported, the Trump-Russia collusion sham that Wiessmann was running had no Russians.  So Weissmann and the corrupt FBI indicted 13 Russians and 3 companies on charges of using social media accounts to influence the 2016 Election against Hillary Clinton.  (There is no such crime.)  One of the companies indicted showed up (to Weissmann’s horror) to court and two years later the DOJ dropped the case after it was clear that no crimes were committed.

Konnech CEO Eugene Yu was arrested earlier this month in Michigan in connection with "theft of personal data.”

Following the CEO’s arrest Fairfax County in Virginia announced they have stopped using Konnech’s PollChief election officer management software.

U.S. District Judge Kenneth Hoyt demanded the conservative nonprofit group disclose their sources of the information central to the case, about sensitive poll worker data managed by Konnech Inc.

NY mom killed in front of children hours after husband freed on no bail in alleged Facebook video beating | Fox News

A mother of three in New York state was killed in front of her children less than 24 hours after her estranged husband was released with no bail for allegedly beating her.

Adam Bennefield, 45, who has a prior conviction for kidnapping another woman at gunpoint, is now charged with fatally shooting his 30-year-old wife, Keaira Bennefield, the New York Post reported. She was killed around 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 5 after he rammed her vehicle.

Moments earlier, Keaira had donned a bulletproof vest to take her children, ages 6 months to 9 years, to school in Buffalo. Adam Bennefield allegedly rammed the vehicle and got out and shot her in front of the children.  He had been released from police custody hours earlier following an arrest for beating his wife. She posted a video of the alleged assault on Facebook that showed her being kicked and punched.

Very sad story.  By all means, keep electing Democrats to office if you want violent criminals to continue to roam the streets free to murder innocent people!

Imagine the depravity it takes to free a serial woman abuser on no bail only to have him predictably go and murder the woman he was abusing in front of their children immediately. Think of how sick the person that allowed that to happen must be to be able to look themselves in the mirror and continue on without a care. Liberals are truly deranged and evil people.
