Host Greg Gutfeld’s new weekday program Gutfeld!, moved to a new timeslot at 11PM/ET at the beginning of April and finished its inaugural month as the number one-rated program in all of cable in total viewers. The strong debut surpassed various broadcast and cable late night comedy programs as well as every CNN program in total viewers. In Nielsen’s Live+3 measurement, Gutfeld! tops Jimmy Kimmel Live! and NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in total viewers, averaging 1.8 million viewers and 351,000 in A25-54. The program also crushed Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, TBS’ Conan and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee across the board in total viewers and the younger A25-54 demo in both Live+SD and Live+3.

Supreme Court justices grapple with school speech case over cheerleader's profane Snapchat post

I don't see how schools can hope to regulate student speech outside of school. You're going to police language when kids are not in school? Seems nuts to me to even think of trying.

That case is absurd. I hope they smack down the school 9-0.

The school can't regulate speech outside of school, but this case involves extracurricular activity. If she violated team policy, then yeah, she faces punishment from them. Years ago I had to sign an 'honor code' to participate in high school sports and activity. This isn't new. If cheerleading squad can show she violated code, then that's that.

It's York County in Pennsyltucky. They're discouraging vote by mail.

I've always had to provide postage for my absentee ballots.

Back in 2011 my parents and I were headed down to Myrtle Beach to celebrate my mothers 60th birthday.  While on 95 we were involved in a very serious multi car accident.  (Before I continue, we took the least of it, and everyone in the car, including my parents Berners in the back were unharmed)  We were the first ones hit, a simple back bumper fender bender for us, that spiraled out of control on 95.  This one car was doing over 90 weaving in and out of lanes and was passing people on the right, didn't realize the off ramp we were in was stalled to a full stop and hit us (Because they were doing the "I'll use the exit only lane to pass cars on the right" move), veered then into the middle of the highway at a 45 degree angle, hit two cars before it slammed into the middle barrier.  A box truck tried to swerve to avoid hitting it, tipped over and ended up rolling end over end for almost 100 feet, narrowly missing us.

We were in shock as it happened and took a few seconds for everyone in the car to even move.  During that short span as we were trying to assess the situation some dude in a truck pulled up behind us and ran straight into the middle of the road to check on the people in the box truck.  Zero hesitation on his part.

I was in a bad accident, too, and had a similar experience. My brother was driving with me, my mom, and grandmother in the car. I was in the back dozing. Something happened with a lane change. I guess a car was in his blind spot and hit us as the car was moving over. We going about 70 MPH and rolled twice, flipping over a guardrail and landing right-side up. My brother had a nice gash in his head, grandmother was totally messed up, and I just had a minor cut/ligament tear in my thumb, probably because I was asleep and just rolled around like rag doll when the car was hit. We were all pretty disoriented, but there were people pulled over right away. The guy who contacted me said something about his "military training kicked in." Great people.

I've been told that it is very much not like this in other countries. A boss of mine was in Russia and saw a guy literally get run over. He said no one stopped or even gave a damn. The general reaction was something along the lines '"Stupid f****er" and people kept driving.

Voters made a big stink about it last election cycle.  Most Pa counties pay postage.

Tried to look up which on google, but this is all I could find.

They made a big stink over a 50 cent stamp? I could see that being an issue if they switched gears after years of not requiring postage, but if they always required it, I don't get the outrage.

Thank you. She had a long road to recovery. We got her back together and she lived for like another 6/7 years or so. We got more time together, but she had long-term mental health issues that we wonder if they might have been exacerbated by the experience. Her episodes were becoming more frequent. We eventually got her out of NE Philly and moved her up by us, hoping the change of scenery and being close to family might help, but she was dead about 9 months later. I don't really consider it to be directly related, but the difficult thing is that my brother has never really forgiven himself for the accident. I think he believes that the ordeal hastened her demise, at least from a mental perspective.

I'm not sure I follow the second part. What's your theory?
