August 30, 20214 yr Just now, DrPhilly said: Ok, you have nothing. Moving on... No, I expect nothing from you. I don't know why you moved your post rather than answer a question, but you did. That you now expect me answer dopey questions like "what point was I making" in addition to not your not answering me and moving your post is a bit ridiculous.

What question did I not answer? edit: I went back and looked. Best I can tell you asked me to provide you some form of proof. As I said, I listened to an interview with her or rather a discussion she had. Here is the vid again. Go to 6:00 and hear what she says starting around 6:16. I've tried to copy the link at the 6:00 mark so hopefully it jumps right there for you. Of course she may be lying as I've agreed prior. If it was some other question then please let me know. I'm not trying to be difficult.

Usually in Sweden you just take people at their word regardless of any obvious conflicts of interest and clear refuting evidence.
September 14, 20214 yr Have some mildew/mold issues in unfinished part of basement. Run a dehumidifier non stop during all but winter. Been having problems with it lately and just haven’t replaced it yet. My question is do the mold and mildew resistant paints ? Have both block walls and drywall to cover. Any suggestions ? Company that services our furnace has a whole house dehumidifier for about $1100. Going to check out that option too.

You could try programming it to run your furnace fan for 15 min every hour to improve circulation and help increase evaporation. I'm assuming you already closed the port on your humidifier and turned down the humidistat already.

I have to run a dehumidifier in the top floor of our house and our system has a built in dehumidifier and we still have issues...but it's Atlanta, so it's a different story.

We were told to prolong lamp life to keep fan set to low, so it always on. It’s only a problem in unfinished section. Dehumidifier I have now is stand along unit. Probably too small for space.

What's the root cause of the moisture? High water table? Standing water after rain? Just general moisture wicking? I assume that entire area is below grade?

Thought of putting in a French drain in to carry it down to creek, but have sewage line going through backyard. So that’s a no go. Just in a high humidity environment.
September 14, 20214 yr Here goes, I’m putting in larger humidifier unit and painting walls with mold/mildew resistance paint. Keeping fingers crossed.

So that’s a no go. Just in a high humidity environment. We have dry lock on poured walls and have a fairly dry basement but we also have a low water table and not many drainage issues (knock on wood) aside from one corner where we get a bit of standing water after really hard rains. Can't say if I'd recommend dry lock itself because I'm not sure if that's the reason why our moisture levels are low or if it's due to other factors. We do run the HVAC fan for 5 min every hour just to try to balance temps on all floors but it probably helps with moisture a bit too. If standing water is the main issue and you're worried about the sewage line, I think I've seen sort of a low profile drain that sits closer to the surface and doesn't have to be buried as deep but might not be as efficient, and a dry well location might still be an issue without knowing more about your layout.

September 20, 20214 yr Dry lock on my basement block walls lasts about 7 years. I have one corner section that has some mold now. Kids and I were watching the game yesterday down there and cleaning up the place. Many trips out to the dumpster. I sprayed water and bleach on the wall and it helped, but I got to scrub the rest of it off. Ran out of bleach. I hate this job!
September 20, 20214 yr Got a little water from Ida, still smelling dank behind the wall in our finished basement. Think I'm gonna end up ripping down the drywall and getting it cleaned up.

September 27, 20214 yr https://www.foxnews.com/us/pennsylvania-teens-columbine-attack-2024 UNMORE, Pa. — Four teenagers have been charged with a plot to attack a Pennsylvania high school in 2024, on the 25th anniversary of the massacre at Colorado's Columbine High School, authorities said. A 15-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy are charged as adults and two other teenagers face juvenile charges in the plan to attack Dunmore High School, outside Scranton, on April 20, 2024, authorities said. Investigators said the girl's mother told police that her daughter was "obsessed with Columbine," The Times-Tribune reported Friday. "While the investigation is ongoing, I want to assure the parents, students and staff at Dunmore High School that we do not believe there is any active threat at this time," District Attorney Mark Powell said in a statement. "We are relieved that this plot was uncovered before anyone was hurt and urge anyone who has information about potential threats of school violence to contact police immediately." CUSTOMER PULLS GUN ON PHILADELPHIA CHIPOTLE CASHIER, DEMANDS SHE SPEAK TO MANAGER: ‘GIVE ME MY FOOD’ A Molotov cocktail, components for bombs, writings on how to make bombs, and handwritten lists of guns, ammunition and tactical gear complete with prices were found at the girl's home, investigators said in a criminal complaint. The Times-Tribune reported that the girl’s mother and defense attorney Corey Eagen declined to comment, while the other teen charged as an adult had no lawyer during Friday’s arraignment. Powell declined to comment on the juvenile charges. The mother of one of the teens charged as a juvenile discovered text messages on her child's cellphone July 6 in which a group discussed plans to "shoot up the school," investigators said in the complaint. The teen told investigators that he thought it was bluster until he saw 20 to 30 Molotov cocktails under the girl's porch. Dunmore schools Superintendent John Marichak told the newspaper he was appalled but relieved by the arrests. A statement on the district’s website said authorities had assured officials that there was "no current danger to students or staff." Principal Timothy Hopkins, who was one of the officials targeted, said he knows the two teens charged as adults and described them as quiet children who weren’t troublemakers. He said he had no idea why they would seek to harm him, other than his position as principal. CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP "It’s a little bit disturbing to find out something like that was being plotted," he told the Times-Tribune. The two teens charged as adults were taken to the Northampton County Juvenile Justice Center following their Sept. 16 arraignment on weapons of mass destruction, terroristic threat, aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy and possession of explosive material charges. The girl is also charged with risking catastrophe because of the threat the explosive devices posed to family members and neighbors, police said. Preliminary hearings are scheduled Oct. 4.
