Posted April 21, 20223 yr The Eagles had the top player at any position in the NFL? I don't think we have ever had the best QB in the NFL in any single season... RB? WR? TE? DE? DT? CB? Im having a hard time thinking of anyone over the last 15 or so years... Am I missing someone?
April 21, 20223 yr Jason Peters for a few years was as good a LT as there ever was. He did everything at an elite level: pass block for speed, pass block for power, run block, pull, etc. Kelce has been the best Center since Pouncey started declining. Can make an argument for TO in 2004. Lane as the best RT in 2017 and 2018 is legit.
April 21, 20223 yr Peters, Kelce and Johnson have good arguments as best at their position at times in their career, Evan Mathis was the best guard in football when we had him. Cox and Ertz were comfortably top 3 at their peaks.

Peters was the best LT in football for a period at the start of the decade. Could be argued that maybe Brooks and Mathis were the best guard for a season at their peaks.
April 21, 20223 yr Author My brain must have been on Skill position players. Kelce is a no brainer, Peters was also. What about Skill players? TO was close in 04, but without looking, id assume someone was better? Maybe not.
April 21, 20223 yr TO was definitely the best in 04. Dawkins was the best safety before the emergence of Reed and Troy. McCoy could be argued as the best RB in 2011 and 2013. Asante might have been the best corner in the league for a short window there.
April 21, 20223 yr Westbrook 2006/07 was no joke. 1,916 total yards and 11 TD's in 06, followed up by 2,104 total yards and 12 TD's.

April 21, 20223 yr Shady was pretty damn good for awhile. Probably not the best in the NFL, but maybe top 3.

April 21, 20223 yr Shady McCoy was pretty much the best running back for a couple seasons. Like some others mentioned Peters, and Kelce were at times considered the best at what they do. Howie has not done a good job at selecting talent that is considered one of the best at what they do though. One moment for Wentz where he was close, but that’s about it.
