June 1, 20223 yr Then what's the point of allowing them to say a higher amount? Why just tell the jury to pick a number between $1 and the cap?

OJ still hasn't paid on his civil suit so it was probably more of a moral victory and a big win in the court of public opinion. This may hurt her career going forward..

Is OJ earning anything that is being or can be garnished, though? If she does a movie, I'd think it would be a simple thing for Depp's lawyers to go after what she owes him.

Even if OJ wasn't in his prime as far as earnings at the time of the judgement I'm sure he had some significant assets (cash/properties) that could've been paid towards the judgement. Based on some of the demands she made of 'abusive' Depp during their divorce like staying in one of his apartments rent free and keeping one of his range rovers she's not rich. So filing for bankruptcy to protect future earnings is an option for her no?
