Posted April 30, 20223 yr Kyron Johnson LB, KANSAS 6-1 / 223 LBS https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EzpkMeO1wCI
April 30, 20223 yr Who? Why? Thought theyd take a flier on CB Jobe or CB Fields or S McKinley III or S O'Neal
April 30, 20223 yr Who? Apparently ESPN has him as their 186th overall prospect, and 16th ranked ILB NFL.com had him graded as a 5th round prospect Not necessarily a reach, but would have preferred a DB here.
April 30, 20223 yr I literally know zero about this guy so I'll reserve judgement. Looking at his traits and measurables seems he may be Davion Taylor 2.0? Anyone here on the board know enough about him to educate us a bit?
April 30, 20223 yr Can’t say I watched much Kansas football. Looks like a high motor guy that will contribute on special teams this year.

Those areas will be addressed, but not in the draft. Stay tuned. The free agents are better than any one they can get in rounds 5-7.
April 30, 20223 yr Traits could translate into being a core special teamer. Unlike Taylor, who can't play a lick, this kid is a true developmental LB. Nice 6th round pick
April 30, 20223 yr So Dean, White, Reddick, Johnson.. plus Taylor, Edwards. Did we really need 4 new LBs? 😄
April 30, 20223 yr https://ras.football/ras-information/?PlayerID=21642&pos=RB&wu=&ovl= As a Running Back, he has a RAS of 9.71. 4.4 40, 1.50 10 split. He hasn't been a RB since freshman year of hs. He's a fast LB with explosive jumps. But his numbers as a Running Back are similar to Saquon Barkley. Barkley 2 pounds heavier 233 v 231. Same 40 time. 4.40. Kyron has the faster 10 split and the faster 20 split (which is a 10/10 RAS 2.41). Barkley has the much better bench - 29 v 16. Headline is "Kyron is FAST" https://ras.football/ras-compare/?&p1=21642&p2=16991&pos=RB

April 30, 20223 yr Undersized with speed? Sounds like a guy who they may play deep or possibly in the nickel I guess?
