I don’t know what I find most troubling here. The concussion issues, the fireman job, or the Dallas shirt.

The concussion would explain the Dallas shirt...

I guess JJAW is a roll of the dice and a last effort at getting something out of him. Stoll is more of a blocker and Jackson sustained a serious injury at a point where we didn't know what we had in him.

All of them are a crapshoot, but this kid is too. Concussions are a serious issue and if he’s already had a bunch in college that made him consider retirement then he’s one big hit away from dropping the game completely.

Couldn't just bring this otherwise A++ draft home with a CB...JFC

Well...lets pray honey badger gets brought in on a 1-2 year deal and our newly revamped front 7 stays healthy and performs to their max cap....

It's the friggin' 6th round.

Was hoping Howie moved Dillard or Reagor for a latter pick. Maybe then just try something out. I mean they found a starter for years in Mills with a late round pick.

I don't know that Reagor will fetch anything more than another disappointing draft pick who didn't work out for another team.  As for Dillard, unless there's a meaningful offer out there (such as if a tackle goes down in training camp), makes more sense to keep him and collect the comp pick after he leaves.

Interesting move again. Seemed like they like Stoll and Jackson, on top of that JJAW was moved to TE.

Jackson going to be on IR all season I would guess.

I’m hoping that maybe they can move Dillard for a DB sometime between now and the off-season. Wouldn’t mind the Eagles swapping Reagor with another teams young player that needs a change of scenery.

You’re probably right. Hopefully this kid can stay healthy.

Otherwise, FA should provide some opportunities for OL and DE if needed

Are you sure we'll have money for FA's, we were strapped this year and adding a 100m WR probably won't help during FA next year.

I guess I am one of the few who thinks this pick is okay. Sounds like he has a lot of upside as a receiver and may even compete for TE2. The medical history is obviously a major concern but that's what you get in the 6th round. It's not like a corner or safety we took instead of him was guaranteed to be a starter.

with the current depth we have at S, anyone we draft would almost automatically be the starter

there is still several starting safeties who haven’t signed in free agency yet.. honey badger tops the list

Cap increases and should be offloading a few of our vet contracts I.e. Cox, Kelce, etc

I don't know how we can afford him with our current cap situation this year.

there is no cap it’s fake… if they have to they will just add several void years to the deal to spread out any cap hit

They have 12.5M in space.  Typically rookies take up about $6M but with only 5 draft picks there should be some money saved there.

You sign him to a multi-year deal with a low year one cap hit.  Then when Brooks files his retirement paperwork after June 1st there is going to be some more cap space opened up.

I can’t complain about him simply because I don’t know a thing about him.  I do know TE depth was a need though so …

I mean yeah.  Same with Johnson. If they earn the role of primary backups for their positions then they were good picks.  If they get cut they weren't. People can only guess what will happen and if history is any judge then no one here has any idea.

And we have approximately 1,000 6th rd CBs on our roster now already.  Once it got past yesterday there was no CB that was coming in with a real shot to start

And that's the thing, he's a late round pick, he's a long shot to make the roster!

Has baker Mayfield gotten picked up yet?

Maybe Kyron Johnson will turn out to be that missing safety?

I figured he would address DB at some point in the draft. I know they’re not done yet, but you can’t count on an UFA to be a starter on D. They need a starting CB and and S. These are positions they only address through free agency. When are we going to spend some draft capital on a young DB? This is a passing league.

Free agency isn't over, don't forget June cuts or trades

You do realize that AJ Brown was signed to a mega contract, do you not?

It's factored in.  That extension does not kick in until next year.

This guy quit football after 3 concussions. Then came back ....and Eagles drafted him. Too much risk for me. Would have went with someone also.

At least 3 cbs and 1 safety were available, over this guy. Castro Fields, Kendrick, etc..

The draft is just over and the team has announced 3 CB UDFA signings so far.
